Interesting fact. But surely triple word score?

I did something similar, and had us accumulating 26 points after 19 game. times that by 2 for average sake and we finish on 52

Based on current form I would say high 40s is a likely finishing number which could be top half the way the league is currently going.

Just get to 38 points as soon as possible. Then start bringing in some youngsters from the huch-vaunted Academy. Wan-Bissaka earned a good transfer fee, but he doesn't do us any good now. Otherwise only Mitchell. A very modest production line from our own youth system.

You know that’s not going to happen, every premier league point is vital and every position in the table is worth millions. Apart from the occasional gem our youngsters are not good enough to be thrown in for the sake of it

We should get to the 40 point mark. Anything above that will be a bonus.

I have just had a look at our first 10 games from last season compared to the 10 we have played so far this season.

At the same stage last season we had one point less than we have now having won 2 games , drawn 6 and lost 2. Goals For 13 and Against 14. Points total 12.

Currently we have won 3, drawn 4 and lost 3. Goals for 12, Against 13. Points total 13.

Although much has been said about our challenging start to this season, we did come up against 5 of the "big 6" in those first 10 games last year.

So things to date are very much on a par with last season and if things continue in a similar vein( of course there is no guarantee they will) we should reach the early 40s.

This sentiment is expressed every season but it doesn't happen unless injuries force the manager's hand, as was the case with AWB and Mitchell.

Even if safety is pretty well assured the manager is under pressure to finish as high up the table as is possible to earn the extra millions that go with each place climb up the table. So he is probably not going to start experimenting.

Hodgson used to pay lip service to bringing on Academy players, and Viera did last year, but apart from putting the odd youngster on the bench it didn't go much further than that - okay Rak-Sakyi and Adaramola got a bit of game time, but no more.

So, unless we have a series of injuries, I don't expect to see youngsters getting much of a look in.

But, I do understand where you are coming from. Having spent millions on upgrading facilities, and having our U21s and U18s competing at the the top level of Academy football, it would be gratifying to see some graduate to the first team.

Still on course for 65 points, only result in my mind that was wrong was a win against Everton, I’m sure a loss in my mind might turn that around , the next few away games will shape the rest of our season, we seem to be able to hold on to a lead and are defending set pieces better , a couple of signings in jan to bolster us won’t go amiss, I watch a lot of the youngsters games and a few show promise, don’t think they are ready yet for the first team , but there is definitely hope that one or two will make the grade, Gordon has upped his game and could be a superstar if he keeps pushing on

Ignoring the 65 idea because that's preposterous. 55 would be very good.

The better judge of where we'll end up will be how we do in our upcoming away games. Leicester and Everton weren't good enough. 4 of our next 6 games in the league are away at West Ham, Forest, Bournemouth, and Chelsea. A good season is 6 points from that. A top half team gets that. Less than 5 and that indicates we're on the path to nothing special.

Our home games Jan - Mar are very tough.

if this was a sweepstake my bet would be on 48 -
As regards 65, well it would be nice but I think reality, the cold winter weather, injuries, suspensions & good old fixture congestion will catch up with all the teams after the WC -
