Did he mean that literally? Indeed, it's a wonderfully ambiguous phrase. Does it mean that the decision was so obvious, that no brain-power (no second thought) was needed in order to make it...or does it mean the decision was made by someone with no brain?

Well according to Wikipedia, Pardew has been sacked 3 times and has "left by mutual consent" 3 times. By comparison "the special one" Jose Mourinho has been sacked 5 times. West Ham, Charlton, Southampton, Palace, Newcastle (before he was pushed), West Brom, Den Haag, CSKA Sofia, all sacked whatever it's called, only one he wasn't sacked from is Reading
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

The match played on Saturday 9 December 2017. I like how just before he (eventually) starts his run-up, some gent shouts out: "If he misses this, there (sic) sell him!!" And they did (eventually).

Shows how my memory is playing tricks on me - I would have put money on that being a midweek game, perhaps its the fact that its already dark & the floodlights are on that threw me - Originally posted by YT

One club (Scottish, I think - I didn't catch the name) has moved its next home game to 1pm.
