Exactly willo, didn’t realise he was that bad, must have seemed a great signing for them at the time.

Neil Mupay from Everton is a great goal poacher , forget that he was at Brighton , he seems to have a nack of being in the right place at the right time . A nasty cvnt also , not affraid to stick the boot in .

Think there'd be a few Everton fans that might disagree with you on this ... you're right though he is a nasty c*nt. He's up there with most slappable faces in the premier league I'd say... along with Almiron and Casemeiro.

With the Championship appearing this weekend in the FA Cup good chance to see how some of the players in that league look. Burnley looked good at Prem league opposition with Zahoury and Benson netting twice apiece, Ndiaye had a good game for Sheff U and talk of us looking at Akpom. Brereton at Blackburn also springs too mind. There is a talent pool there, albeit not cheap, but where is nowadays ?

As mentioned in post, initially came from the Championship at Brentford, possible place to find some talent.

Getting back to the change of style in the modern game with the use of inverted wingers, it seems that the number 9 role is also morphing away for a goal poacher role. I would say Haaland is the new standard in this type of role and the new style player needs to have both a physical presence as well as been quick and the ability to score goals. I have think Nunez will be a similar player for Liverpool.
Of our strikers Mateta looks to be the closest fit and i would like to see him starting more games. This would push Ayew and Zaha to wider roles to compete with Olise and give us options off the bench.

I was going to say that i think probably something like 15 out of 19 teams are probably looking for this type of striker ( probably City, Spurs, Fulham and Liverpool are the ones with goalscoring number 9 that does not need an upgrade )

Well, he was in the Championship.

At Brighton and Everton he hasn't delivered. He needs ten chances to score one goal.

What we need is a Murray type . Quick brain, good movement in the box, cold blooded, and able to connect play. We don't need someone who runs loads with the ball.

You could actually call Murray a poor man's Harry Kane. Which is a compliment. We need a poor man's Harry Kane.

When I read this I thought of Teemu Pukki.
What a marvellous 'Free' signing he has been for Norwich from Brondby.
When Norwich were looking to sign him the only other interest was from a Greek club.
