Don't know what Thomas Frank's getting worked up about, refs giving them every 50:50 and we're getting nowt

Ball went out of play into Patrick's hands and he wasn't given it straight back to Brentford so Frank got a little lairy.

"Lacking something…..need an impact player"…

Need a striker, you couldn't make a decent one out both Mateta and Édouard if you tried.

Hoped for more from the dream team of Wilf, Olise and Eze to0.

Very dull... Both teams really lacking energy.

Mateta and Schlupp both poor with poor touches. Definitely needs spicing up a bit otherwise it's got 0-0 written all over it.

I've been impressed with the young lad Brentford have signed from Hull City.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Trouble with starting that 3 is we are a bit short of impact subs

Just need to stay patient. Caused them problems once we've worked it wide. Olise grew into the game. They're constantly trying to double on the wingers so hopefully we can pick that pass to find the person in space. Just like when they left Mateta completely free on the edge of the area.

Palace look jaded and under-par. That adds up to a Brentford win.
Hope not, but it looks grim. That City match really shagged them out. Needed and extra few days to recover I think.

Brentford have certainly done their homework..doubling up on both wings and the high press. Need a strong second half and perhaps put Zaha as striker and bring on Ebiowei?

My first proper look at Doucoure tonight. He looks good. Neat and tidy, good balance, and looking to pass the ball forward into little pockets of space. Eze and Olise will like that.

I'm in danger of becoming a broken record on this subject, but the inclusion (and to be frank, continued employment) of Mateta baffles me. I appreciate he can occasionally bundle one in, but he is so clumsy and slow outside the box that it kills our build up play time and again, and he doesn't punch his weight in physical battles either.

Referee seems to be struggling to work out what to let go. He's let some weird decisions go both ways, such as when a Brentford player literally ran into Eze's back ref plays on and then Andersen seems to wipe their player out; the ref put the whistle to his lips and then didn't blow perhaps realising there'd just been a replica foul at the other end.

I'd say Brentford had the better of the first half without really threatening a goal. We look dangerous when running at them, but they've defended well. With them putting three players on Olise at times we can find space in the middle, but so far Mateta struggling to get into the game. You only have to look at Haaland or Kane to see it's not the amount of touches you get, but what you do with them. Btw, Mateta looks knackered just taking his training bib off. I think that's just the way he is.

COYP!!

Frank v Vieira...only one winner there!

The way they are playing they are either super fit or they will fade second half. They are committing 3 defenders to both Olise and Zaha, we need to exploit the gaps that leaves.

I must be watching a different team! Mateta will be kicking the corner post before the final whistle.

Its full of energy, but both sides well organised and cancel each other out. Space will open up as the second half goes on.
