Gascoigne could turn on a sixpence in both directions, unfortunately Eze can only go one way however he is very quick over 10 yards so he gets away with it. Good player yes, world beater, certainly not yet. Speak to the Palace players and they rate Olise more highly saying he does things in training that no one else can do. do you know anything about anything

You could see in preseason he was chomping at the bit to get back and make an impact and I said then I expected him to make a late push for the England squad. His balance is out of this world and he uses this to lose players with seeming ease, plus the weighting of his passes is perfection. Olise has potential, but he needs a long run of games without injury to make an impact as he seems to be susceptible to knocks. The combination of Wilf, Eze, Olise and Doucoure supporting could make us outsiders for the top 8 if they all stay fit and if Edouard or Mateta can improve.

He may well get in the England squad, which is a pain as far as we're concerned. I seriously doubt whether GS would have a clue how to get the best from him. Doesn't fit his brand of Royball. Exactly this. I would put money that he'll be in an England squad this season, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the next one. Which I think may end up being quite funny in the context of the subliminal message it'll send to a certain young England midfielder whose place in the squad he'll likely take. That'd be the one that plays for Chelsea.

Viera post match said Eze will be a key player for us this season and he rarely heaps such praise on an individual player. For me Eze has been brilliant in all 3 games. We had glimpses of his class in his Palace debut season and then came his injury. I was bit surprised when Newcastle offered 40 million for him around then but now it is easy to see why. He looks super fit and is chasing and covering a lot more ground and is able to get on the ball so much more. His talent is now showing through consistently and we have a serious player.

Great to see Ebs getting back to his best. I think PV deserves a lot of credit for the way he has managed Ebs' game time and recovery. And the way he is integrating him into the team.

I’m afraid you only ever deal in absolutes whether it’s your love of Eze or your hatred of Benteke. Football is more nuanced than that.

Good to see Eze getting his stride back. I've been critical of the weaker sides to his game, but have also stated that he needs to get involved and have the ball at his feet as much as possible, he really looks supreme in these moments.
