I am thoroughly looking forward to tonight’s match in that a draw is no good for either team, a Liverpool win puts Manure firmly in the manure and a Manure win ruins any chance of Liverpool winning the title. It’s a win win win whatever the result, perfect

I'm not great at watching matches where I'm a neutral but looking forward to this. It's just plain funny.

Klopp is saying that Liverpool should get the 3 points if Man Utd fan protests cause the game to be cancelled again.

Whereas my immediate reaction was the usual, "clown", "knobber" etc, on reflection perhaps it isn't such a mad suggestion.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

As much as I can't stand Man U, they did play a heck of a game. Can't help but feel if Nunez was in there it would have turned out different for Liverpool

Fernandez is such a cheat. He should be booed at every stadium. How many times has he received diving cards now??? Let alone that ticky tacky stuff with the ball (should have been given a 2nd yellow).

Klopp saying Liverpool should have won it!! The Salah goal aside the closest they came to scoring was via United's players trying to put it in their own net, whereas United had a few clear cut chances they should have taken.

One thing I would say is that last night United looked like the team Ole was putting out i.e. full of energy and passion but lacking in control. All that money spent and they haven't really progressed.

Liverpool's midfield was useless, Firminho was awful and Trent showed why Southgate doesn't trust him. They'll bounce back (probably at home to Bournemouth on Saturday) but they look miles off City who despite drawing with Newcastle look scary going forward. You have to question why their players are always injured too; maybe they overwork them in training? Leeds seem to have had similar problems in recent years and they also play a pressing game.

Milner at 36 and Henderson at 32 could not match the intensity and desire that Man Utd displayed.Firmino at 31 was a shadow of the player we have witnessed in recent seasons.
All three of these players are not that fleet of foot.

Apropos Alexander-Arnold, his ability to provide exquisite crosses has been displayed but whilst he is good offensively he is certainly not the best defender and whilst he is no slouch he does not have that searing pace.

Losing Mane has been significant and I suspect Liverpool would have been a different team with the likes of Thiago, Fabinho, Jota and Nunez in the starting lineup.
Fabinho of course was introduced into the fray but he has come back from injury and did not start.

Over the years we have witnessed the out-to-in runs of Salah and Mane and the full-backs being a threat going forward but this aspect of the Liverpool game was sorely lacking.

Somewhat premature don't you think?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Some 'good' news for Manure, Howard Webb is returning to English Refereeing . . . as boss of PGMOL [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Not really. Take a look at that current Liverpool side and tell me truthfully whether it is a league winning team. By the time they sort out the current injury mess they are in the league could be well out of sight.
