Official word from Watford is minor hamstring.. Watford saying precautionary..

Hope this one’s got legs. If Sarr is genuinely injured and with Semenyo currently out can’t be both surely. Obviously depends on severity and we signed Olise while injured.

It just sounds like both are going somewhere and are being left out to avoid getting an injury

Reportedly Semenyo has not played this season as he sustained a shin injury on International duty.

We've had a long standing interest in Sarr, but the noise has died down recently and we've considerably strengthened the right hand side already with the addition of Olise and Ebiowei.
I know it's been suggested that Sarr can play across the front 3, but I've only seen him on the right of attack.
As others have suggested surely a priority should he a central midfield player, in particular if we have limited funds available and Sarr wouldn't come cheap.

i agree. We tried to buy Sarr 2 years ago. Since then we have really strengthened the right attacking options and he is definitely not a centre forward. Can't see it happening

Apparently Pearson says there have been no offers for any of his players. At the same time Bristol have no money to increase their squad. Sounds as if they are touting for buyers, and the usual links to clubs short of a forward get linked.
Don’t see the need for Sarr a more complete mid fielder would be more like it. But as ever so many pundits think he looks like a Palace sort, never mind we probably can’t afford him and don’t really need him.
Always happy to be wrong on both counts as Sarr in particular is a decent player, but just think if we have money it would be better used on other parts of the squad

You'd wonder how Watford ever got relegated with their front 3 in such demand!
Newcastle are apparently close to buying Pedro for £30 milion, Forest have already bought Denis for £20m and Watford supposedly want in excess of £25 million for Sarr.
Brighton managed to get around £60 miilion for Cucerella and £50 million for White.
Neither are exceptional in my view, but just decent Premier League players.
I'm happy with Palace's current approach to buying players and trust that we will not be over paying for Sarr if our supposed interest is pursued.

What I have seen of Sarr he can be brilliant but often looks uninterested,I think he is a big gamble.

Rarely brilliant. Usually average - I'm not getting excited by this. Keep Wilf is my advice. Sarr is nowhere near as good as Wilf.

Not sure he is what we need right now - but undoubtedly would soften the blow when Wilf does eventually go (hopefully we’ll get something for him).

I think he has long been viewed as a natural successor but timing and price tag had prevented it. If £25 mill quoted is correct that might put a different complexion on things and he still has plenty of scope to improve and develop under our excellent coaching set up.

I'm not sure what Zaha has to do with it.

Sarr is an alternative for Ayew and Olise. One is not good enough and the other is inury prone and still learning.

There seems to be some legs on this story. Sarr, AWB back on the cheap and Gallagher back on loan and ths would be a good window.

We just need a bit more firepower.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We have got the fire power what we haven't got is a holding midfield 'general' to provide the ammunition !

Ah well, now the pundits, click bait merchants ,call them what you will, have realised Sarr, would look good at Everton if Gordon , went to Chelsea. The thing is with the transfer window, it is never a case of,you couldn’t make it up.
