Article suggests he's been left out the squad for Lyon's game tonight with them stating it's a 'sporting decision'. With Forest signing MGW, could it be that he's on his way to Palace?

You'd hope that the Lyon connection should (if we want him) work in our favour.

Even if he wasn't first choice, for Textor, instead of losing him on a free next season. He has the ability to sell to Palace which:

Gives Lyon £13m more then they would get next year
Give us a player who is arguably worth more (under a 5yr contract)

However I'd agree that from youtube he looks amazing with the ball, but havent really seen much to the defensive side. But granted that is less glamourous for highlight reals

So this player is rated at 22.5m on transfer market which is normally quite conservative when it places values on players. Add to that, it once valued him as high as 50m which I would say is very rare for this website, only the very best get valued as high as that.

He's not a midfield general type player.
He runs with the ball and looks to beat players through sleight of foot in a similar way to Olise, Eze and to a certain extent Zaha.
On the wider point I agree that a midfield general who can dictate play and pick a pass would be useful as we don't have one, although McArthur at his best can make us tick as a team.

He looks to be a seriously talented player and if does have a defensive side to his game all the better. Media saying Forest have now pulled out due to Lyon messing them around. Him, Eze, Zaha, Doucoure and Olise would be bags of fun to watch in the same team.

Still a very good player in there. Wonder if we'd go back in for him in Jan, only 6 months on his contract so surely he'd be cheap.

Even if he only plays as Eze's understudy it worth bringing some cover in

He hasnt had much game time this season ,about 30 minuites in total for OL . The team is struggling and they have just sacked the manager but he couldnt get a start .

He may get another chance under a new boss but the alarm bells are ringing on this guy , hes got Max Mayer written all over him

Out of form but young enough and has the technical ability to turn it round with Vieira's arm round him. At the right price he would add some much needed guile to the CM area.
