He should have stayed until the end of the match before sending in the match report!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Maybe he's from Sunderland.

Poor fcukers and footballers in the same sentence. Let them work is my opinion.

it was very noticeable that the German crowd did not chant 'R-O-O-O-O-O-T' at the start of the game.

This must be due to brexit.

If Germany did play cricket, they would play it in an efficient and organised way. A bit like their love-making.

It wasn't quite that bad. England created some decent chances, Germany were more counter attacking. Sterling murdered a few chances/ good moves - shame. Grealish was great when he came on, really silky skills. It's hardly like Germany were great though. You'd suspect England would be in trouble against anyone in the top ten, but I personally don't think that it was England's best side. However, speculation is that Southgate thinks it is. I'm not a mind reader so can't say for sure. A natural left back would be start.

Think that's pretty fair, although surely the Germans are a top 10 side?

I thought it was the usual Southgate 'problem' in that we were too cautious, and it wasn't until Grealish came on and we started to chase the game that we started to look dangerous.

All of our best players are attackers, so we should be playing a more attacking brand of football.

I think Germany have fallen well down the pecking order but they could easily still be ranked within the top ten. However, if you consider plenty of other sides - off the top of my head - Portugal, Spain, Italy, Argentina, France, Belgium, an improving Holland (I'm bound to have missed teams out) - then you wouldn't think this is the Germany of old. You would feel plenty of sides wouldn't fear them, when before everyone sh1t their pants at the thought. I expected England to win, and thought it was a valiant performance by some of the German fringe players.
I have to say, I thought them picking less capped players and on-form players was a good move. Use this tournament to blood players - not to bring them back recovering from injuries, Southgate a bit too safe perhaps.
