If a fan runs onto the pitch then any player / coach or official is entitled to lump him in my opinion.

It is illegal to enter the playing area and we have no idea what the intentions of that fan are.

I hope PV does not get charged and fights it if he does. Who knows what the fan was calling him...

Told him to f*** off and stuck up the middle finger.

The love and respect from us to PV has likely increased ten fold

Next season the song has to be:

Let's all kick a Scouser
nah, nah, nah, nah
Like Super Pat Vieira
nah, nah, nah, nah

I just don't get the mentality. That fellas first thought is to go on and abuse our manager and players. He's got reason to celebrate but he chose that instead. Just strange really.

We're not rivals with them, and the result doesn't really have any affect on us. Just enjoy the moment instead of trying to do something edgy for all the other w***ers on tiktok or instagram.

Unfortunately that is the state of the game we love. So many moronic 'fans' who's most enjoyable part of the matchday experience is having a go.

Any team would have done a pitch invasion in this situation, so I accept that. What I do think is that any fan identified as approaching the opposition players or manager should be banned for a period as a signal that you just can't do that.

As it is Vieira shouldn't have reacted, especially given his pre-match talk about Zaha not rising to the goading of opposition players. The fan was a prize tw@t, but you can't really excuse PV's reaction, even if you can understand it. It's still funny though, especially the follow up when some bloke tries to shove Vieira and it's like a toddler pushing a fridge.

Everton should be asked about lack of security and why Palace had to cross the pitch. I know opposition changing rooms are the other side but must be another route

I heard that palace staff and players asked to exit with Everton. The answer was no because of COVID so they had to walk the length of the pitch amongst the fans.

Ffs it gets worse. So Palace players and staff may have Covid? B**locks. Everton need to take a long hard look at themselves. Will they? Of course not

I've no problem with a pitch invasion after the final whistle, I did it at Stockport.

However, if fans are abusing players, managers or other staff then they need to come down hard on those fans and also give the club a one match ban at the start of next season. Harsh on those fans who either didn't go on the pitch or the ones who did but behaved but a message needs to go out that this isn't acceptable.

Well done on those bin dpiier fans who stopped other fans abusing Pat, without them it could really have kicked off.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I can only see crowd behaviour deteriorating further unless clubs and authorities do something. The level of abuse and intimidation last night, not only at the end but also during the match, surely has a significant effect on away teams and staff and Lampard's take on what happened to PV was pretty weak - no condemnation of the behaviour. Surely something needed to happen at the club level in response to the Billy Sharp incident. Nothing seems to ever happen in response to crowd behaviour spilling onto the pitch. Flares are frequently launched on to pitched, including at Selhurst, and it just seems to get ignored. Unless something is done about these incidents, someone is going to get really badly hurt and crowd behaviour will spiral out of control!

So a small minded bigot picked a fight with PV and lost. Three days hence PV will be receiving a standing ovation, The Evertonian will be looking at a scousers lot, prison and the dole. Justice and Karma all rolled into one.
