Thought it was interesting that the UK public voted for Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and Lithuania in that order. Probably reflects who's actually watching it over here. That said, I thought Moldova were brilliant and should have won it hands down.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Last year we gave Ukraine 0 points and Moldova 4.

No, the Ukrainian song was good enough to win in its own right Don’t know why the judges didn’t see it that way, the public tends to know what works for it better than the judges I certainly don't begrudge them the win, and it's the most noble was to place second, but there is no way to my mind that the Ukraine song deserved 12 points from the vast majority of countries (pbulic vote). Def wouldn't have got that many without the war, though I acknowledge it would've still done well and am clearly not averse to Europe supporting Ukraine. Nobody outside of bot-like allegiance detached, alt media types take that route. Edited by BlueJay (15 May 2022 1.44pm) Attachment: bros.JPG (66.55Kb)

"Eurovision winner heads home to join Ukrainian army". Bloke leads quite the life. Fair play for this moment of solidarity from the public.

Those few who have posted; I admire your honesty in admitting that you watch this s***. it's so bad, its good. Ukraine were always going to win it. Even if they submitted a shyte song. Which they did. Edited by PalazioVecchio (16 May 2022 8.17am)

So what is the likelihood we will see the contest in Ukraine next year? I loved the Serbian entry - bizarre, wacky and cocked a snoot at Eurovision convention and the overelaborate light shows that are used to try to mask average songs. Brilliant!

The Ukraine song. i reckon the hip-hop bits were a deliberate incitement to Putin.
