11 out 10 ?? I can’t remember many games where he’s even an 8. "I also feel as though Eze has the ability to put in '11 out of 10'" I have seen him run through a PL team (WBA?? I think?) and score tidily at the end of it, score free kicks, beat players with ease, deliver very good set pieces, play the 'genius-level' passes etc. etc. I don't think it beyond reason to suggest "he has the ability" to play a stormer. Also, I think he has very much had a few '8 out of 10' performances for Palace. Anyone saying he hasn't must not have seen them and if so fair enough. I'm not going to be chairing meetings at the 'Eze is the best player we have, in the world etc.' meetings anytime soon, he has a lot more he needs to do in my eyes and currently still looks rusty. Equally however I would now, albeit controversially, suggest CG has been looking bang average if not below recently. I'd suggest it foolhardy to take an unwavering, rigid stance in any case on either player and still stand by my view of 'the right player for the right game' and that I trust PV far better than myself or anyone else in those situations.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Sheffield United, the worst team in the league that year and relegated. Againgst a more "clever" team he would have been fouled long before he got anywhere near the goal. Such is the state of the game these days.

Correct mate. They were championship level. Generally speaking, I agree. I really hope not but my gut tells me he’ll be remembered as the player he could have been but wasn’t quite.

I am also one of those concerned that Gallagher does seem to be less effective recently compared with his contribution earlier in the season. Is the question about his future playing on his mind I wonder?
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
