Wilf is staying. Seeing as it's you that has said that, I believe it.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Tbh I can only really see Newcastle offering the kind of money that might tempt wilf but tbh is Newcastle a big enough pull for him without any European football and no guarantee they will get it.

Do agree however I am inclined to believe a big pay day will lure Zaha far more than any footballing ambitions. I could well be wrong!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Bit of advice, only consider believing anything in the papers or click bait websites, if there is direct quote from a player or club representative. Not the musings of a bored hack, dreaming up a story. I once read a post from someone on HOL ,"Belive none of what you read and half of what you see concerning transfers "

Where would Zaha go? He's not going to City, United, Chelsea or Liverpool and he wouldn't get in Spurs' front three. Arsenal and Newcastle the only possible destinations I can think of, unless he wants to go abroad. I'd be more disappointed about Olise but I struggle to believe that our owners would be foolish enough to put a 35m release clause in, hopefully it is indeed just in the case of relegation. If there is a release clause, our priority should be trying him down to a new contract with a decent payrise. My hunch is that Zaha will sign a new deal and both will be with us next season.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

According to Ornstein in The Athletic, Palace and Olise's reps are negotiating a 1 year extension and an increase in the buy-out clause from the widely reported £35m to more than we got for AWB. He suggests the discussions are amiable and that Olise does want to stay. Let's hope he's right on all counts and great news if he is! PS.

I’d heard the release clause was in the event of relegation, not sure how true that is

Yet another summer transfer window about to open and yet another year where Zaha is said to be leaving . How many more years is this going on for ? I just think he is after more money . it is just lazy paper talk. I have always said if he is to go it will be at the end of his contract, so in 1 year's time. Very few club's can afford his salary so his options are limited. In 12 months he will be in a better position and will still be 'only' 30.

He should only go if he knows he will be first choice at the new club and that club has a realistic chance of winning trophies.
