Not sure I fully agree. Last chance for silverware this season for them. Tuchel will throw his best team at us and try to use last night's effort to his advantage. Worried nerves will also play a part. We looked really nervous against Everton in the opening minutes. If we start like that a better team will put us to bed in the first 20 mins. My head is saying 2-0 to them, early goal and another mid second half. My heart is going for a nerve wracking 2-1 to us. COYP !!

Yeah, agree

Really wanted them to win last night, to make this game seam less important.

they might suffer a bit of a hangover, but equally they could come out swinging, and demolish us like they did Southampton

To score a goal against them finally after 180 minutes this season will do wonders for our confidence. Let's just hope we have not conceded 3 at that point.

We were so unfancied against Liverpool, when Rush scored everyone thought the worst, but then he never came out for the second half and the rest is history.

Anything is possible and we have Super Pat Viera!!

2 nil Palace

We also have all of the football world, barring Chelsea rooting for us. I was with a bunch of friends this evening, who support a wide range of clubs. I have never heard such goodwill and admiration being expressed for Palace and the entertaining way they are playing. People I would never have imagined knowing the names of our players were praising them. We have a lot of new fans and are many people's "second" team now.

I have great faith in PV instilling enough belief in the squad to let them take the field with the notion that we can win. Also, I think Chelsea may take us lightly because of the success they've enjoyed against us.

Still, if we score first, Chelsea will roar back. If Chelsea scores first, they will roll. Our only hope is to fend them off for 80 minutes or so, somehow manage to score, and then survive the final onslaught. I believe we can do it.

I think if Palace show up and we get a fair game ( VAR AND REF ) I think we can snatch a 1-0 win. I watched the last match and if i remember correctly they scored i the 87th minute and were by no means all over us . Since then we have improved in leaps if not bounds ! and are managing the game better . Also depends which Palace and Chelski turn up ! if its the same Palace that turned up against Leicester then we have no chance . If its the same Palace that turned up against Arsenal then we have a great chance and if the same Chelsea that turned up against Brentford turn up then we will win but if the Chelsea that beat Southampton 0-6 turn up then we are f***ed . You can be sure the Chelsea are on a big bonus from the broken oilgarth to make the sale of the club more attractive to the new buyers and you can be sure that Steve will prob treat our boys to a Mcdonnalds ( Happy meal ) on the way home

Would be brilliant to cause an upset, but do not expect anything other than a Chelsea win,say 3-1.

I have a generally optimistic disposition, however I can't really see us beating Chelsea. Whereas we've beaten City, and been robbed by Liverpool in recent seasons, I feel like Chelsea always convincingly beat us. We need to have the game of our lives along with some luck and clinical finishing, and they need to have an off day.

Not impossible but I just can't see it. That said I'm going with an open mind, and I really hope I'm wrong.

It's a one-off game. Anything can happen.

Palace, going in to the match under no pressure and safe from relegation, backed by their amazing, loyal, noisy and historically, long suffering, supporters.

Chelsea, battered and bruised after their Chumpions League exit and with all the stuff with Roman Abramovich, and under pressure from their fans to win a trophy this season.

I'd love us to win. I think of the 1990 semi against Liverpool, relegated Wigan beating Manchester City in the final, then 3rd Division Palace winning at Leeds, who were then a mighty team and 2nd in the old 1st Division, and all the other major upsets the old competition has seen, and I know it can be done.

I just hope we don't get marmalised.

I concur with these sentiments.
I am not expecting us to reach the final.

Thats surprising your usually so upbeat with your predictions !! I hope Eze fills Gallaghers boots admirably and has the space to show his magic on the big stage. I predict a glorious 2-1 victory in extra time. Eeeeeaaaggles !!

Sounds like a game we played at Wembley a few years ago...

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I have a funny feeling about Palace this year - that they will win the FA Cup. Underdogs do win it occasionally and I can't think of a beter one than Palace at present. All the pressure is on Chelsea and whomever we meet in the final. The Palace players WILL ALL turn up for this one - no doubt in my mind. Chelsea 'should' be too strong and win, but Palace LOVE that scenario! As we all know Palace love it when teams come on to them. But both teams will play warily for most of the match then Chelsea will turn on the afterburners with 70 minutes to go to finish Palace off (neither team wants penalties). That's what I predict, a cautious arm-wrestle from both sides for 70 minutes, then a Palace winner when Chelsea start attacking our penalty box. 1 - 0 win to Palace.
