This post has been merged from a topic called 'Can connor play against Chelsea or not?' by becky Forget ITV, basically IF we draw Chelsea, CG can play because EPL loan rules do not apply to other competitions ie FA Cup. As CG is on a season long loan he is free to play. if he were on a short term loan, he would need permission from parent club to play against them.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

No he can’t. See the FA Cup rules below…. That's for TEMPORARY loans ie short term loans. CG is on a long term loan ie season long

However, for the FA Cup, it may be possible for loan players to play against their parent club. If a player is on a season-long loan, he is able to play against his parent club. For players who are on short term loans, they will need to obtain written consent from their parent club to allow them to play in the match.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Can connor play against Chelsea or not?' by becky It's surprising that despite him being one of our most influential players our own supporters still can't spell his name - it's Conor not Connor
