Now that cricket has become much more about making as much money as possible those practices are minimised as much as possible and hence we get a lower standard and the home side has a significantly higher advantage. Essentially the real cricket lover gets short changed. Edited by Stirlingsays (02 Jun 2022 2.41pm)

You can't help but see that the affect of priorising the short game has had a shocking affect on batting for any real time periods.

So much for the red ball reset. I guess it's entertaining in a funny sort of way.

Agree, there's a Benny Hill aspect to it, just without the nurses and stockings....and...well, no actual Benny Hill.

On a positive note Potts accomplished himself well . Sadly our middle order is woefully inept.

I'm looking forward to today. I'd say there are a few batsmen who aren't.

Reverting to type springs to mind. There is a weird form of masochistic enjoyment to be found here. I mean, I'll never actually support against England but if you're going to be beaten.... Well the ECB are so woke it just feels like a slap back.....even if it isn't really. But to be fair to the new management they need time until judgement. Edited by Stirlingsays (03 Jun 2022 7.45pm)
