Trot down from the lofty mount of your superior moral high ground and dismount your high horse. A flag displayed on a post, on a football fan website of around 100 such sites in one country, out of more than 200 other footballing countries, is hardly going to put any pressure on anyone. Let alone a president of a country. If you want to wave a Ukraine flag, and you feel the need to help, go there. Otherwise, it is virtue signalling, ie looking like you care without putting youself to any discomfort. ps I'm sceptical of your claim You seek to tell me I haven't done something that I clearly know I have so you can stick your grand standing nonsense and lies . People changing a flag on a forum tells you nothing about anything beyond that act. As is attested to by your need to lie about their actions to fit that definition. You're just looking to give people a 'dressing down'. I really don't care. Bore someone else you saddo.

Edited by Badger11 (07 Mar 2022 11.05am) Yep. Far more intelligent than displaying a flag which nobody will notice, apart from the few people who frequent this site. But that does mean not buying gas and oil and coal from them primarily. Which the West will very likely not adopt as it will severely hit them in the pocket. So, it's sanctions. And virtue signalling.....

You're very caught up on the view that changing a flag on a forum means something so all encompassing and profound that you attempt to back it up with falsehoods. As I said, you infer that I may not have donated because I've put a little flag up. That is both a nonsensical argument and false. If you actually want to learn about what different people think, how they address misinformation in this conflict, what causes they highlight and contribute too, you may want to go through the thread on it rather than make baseless assumptions based on nothing. It's all there, Timothy. It's all there.

You accuse me of insults and yet that is unfortunately all you have delivered. My initial post to you was actually rather considered, though you ignored all of that. As stated, you said you were skeptical of something which I know to be true. I highlighted that your statement was false. This is not a useful exchange. If you read the Ukraine thread you will get an insight into peoples thoughts, concerns and how they have variously expressed them. You're the one caught up on this little flag more than anyone, and have sought to convince yourself that it means something profound about those who place it. I've already highlighted why that is an oversimplified, lazy and incorrect assumption to begin with. As a last ditch attempt to bring about a sense of inner calm to you, I have attached a slightly larger flag to this post. Edited by BlueJay (08 Mar 2022 2.29am) Attachment: flag.jpg (9.59Kb)
