I even heard the same tune as the 'CPFC' song but obviously they replaced our letters with their own. Wot with citeh fans singing Guardiola' to the tune of glad all over and Blackpool adopting our anthem too, it seems we are terrace trend setters - no greater form of flattery than mimicry, well done the ultras.

i thought blackpool had used 'Glad all over' for as long as us?
be interested if anybody remembers from 60s.

This song is sung way too often, no doubt "Wembley" will be replaced with "Premier League" and we'll have another season of this s***e

Nope it's not my name

Just my personal opinion, the words are really cringey....

On another note, isn't it sung to the tune of "Blue Moon", and therefore, Man City are the "originators?"

It’s definitely not ‘Blue Moon’. I can’t work out where the annoying tune comes from. Like someone said, it sounds like the local brownies so maybe it was while one of them was roasting marshmallows on an open fire.

Turns out West Ham sung it before us and before Chelsea. The song is w@nk and cringe. I don’t think the tune is from a record or CD or anything. Just some dross made up by the younger generation to sing.

I'm glad you didn't mix that up

I think the tune is meant to be "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The performances I heard on Sunday weren't exactly note perfect, but it clearly is this song:

Note that to fit the song, you need to repeat the first two lines.

It's a great song.

That song in your link song is used in ‘American werewolf in London’ just before he turns into a werewolf in Jenny Agutta’s flat when she’s at work. But it isn’t the same tune as the football chant. ‘Blue Moon’ is during the end credits of ‘American Werewolf in London’.

Over sung, average at best and what's worst is that half the Premier League teams have been singing it before us (with their own lyrics of course).

Best to stick with the original chants which make us stand out from the rest.
