We will struggle first half and go behind. Roy will set them up to defend like dogs second half and we will brighten up as usual clawing back to parity. Will have one glorious chance to take all 3 points at the end and blow it. 1 point that should of been 3. 1-1

I suppose the only ace up our sleeve is both Watford and Burnley need to win whereas we can afford to draw. This may leave them exposed at the back regardless of their standard defensive set up.

As with all Roy teams they will set up narrow so the space will be there for Zaha and Olise to exploit, we just need to get those diagonal passes spot on.

Whoever plays CF will get space at the back post if we can deliver accurately to that area.

Prediction 0-2 but only if Palace manage the game correctly.

I feel a sneaky Mitchell goal coming on this match especially if Zaha sucks the full back in even narrower.

I hope our lads know how to dig in because we are in a scrap already.
Three points in this game would be massive, but the chances of us breaking down the newly robust Watford defence with our lack of finishing power looks difficult.
It will be painfully ironic if Roy screws us, so there is added motivation.
Burnley will be tough as well, and they have just signed the perfect player to score against us.

I hope Vieira and the players know how critical these games are.

Its going to be a tough old game. Roy will know that we are good on the counter and in space, so they will sit back and let us have the ball.

I predict:

We'll have 65% of the ball
We'll win 2-1 (JPM and Wilf with 2 Olise assists)

Anything less than 4 points from our next two is trouble. We cannot afford to lose either, but Watford A is easier than Burnley H. Burnley's record this season is better, they've possibly just found a goalscorer and they don't concede many. Really need the win at Watford.

Butland

Clyne Andersen Guehi Mitchell

Kouyate McArthur

Olise Gallagher Edouard

Mateta/Benteke

Allowing Wilf a start after his performance on Saturday when the lot on the bench haven't been given game time to speak of in recent weeks just sends out completely the wrong message.

Get behind which team exactly? Or have we signed a new goalkeeper?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Watford are eight points behind us with a game in hand and Hodgson no doubt, can read us like a book.
Their tales are up and I see a defeat coming our way plunging us ever nearer the relegation dog fight.
2-0 loss predicted.

There's a flip side to that my friend. I'd say each and every one of our players can read Roy like a book and will know every trick he will have planned with the limited talent at his disposal (and yes, Watford are limited). Watford are not where they are because of Ranieri. They are where they are because they are crap. This means there is a limit to what Roy can achieve with this lot. I'm not predicting an easy game. far from it. but if we play to our best and keep the ball we have nothing to fear from Watford.
0 1
