Someone else challenging someone about not “being a supporter” etc I was at selhurst for my first game against Oxford when Chris Armstrong and Simon roger scored and we won 2-1 and proceeded to get promoted the same season, I was then in the Arthur the next season when we lost 6-1 against Liverpool at the age of 6 in our first game that season I was at charlton when we drew 2-2 and got relegated and yes I still agree this is the most frustrating side I have ever seen as a palace team because we can’t win I don’t expect us to win and when we are drawing in last 5 mins I expect us to lose My opinion , anyone else wants a pop at my loyalty or whatever I won’t come on this site no more Disloyal bedwetter. There, I said it. Off you go. Good boy.
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

Cant believe we have so many pant wetters in our ranks. We have completely overhauled the squad, installed a new manager and style and are playing attractive football. We are sitting slightly below mid table and (in my opinion) our future is looking good. We hold off the champions leaugue winners, who have one of the most expensive squads in europe for 89 minutes and are unlucky to lose the game to a single late goal. And this is not good enough ? What drugs are you people on ?

Agreed , everyone who wanted hodgson out etc to play more “expansive” football will soon realise like all charlton fans , Fulham , Norwich Portsmouth that it’s just not possible without a huge budget , we can’t score can’t defend and can’t see out a game , I havnt been this frustrated with a palace team in all my 33 years We got beaten by a late goal against Chelsea, who we haven't got a point from in the last 9 times we played them. Why get frustrated with this team, you make no sense at all.

The biggest concern for me is the number of late goals we concede. It's not bad luck it's clearly a concentration/inexperience issue with regard to not seeing games out and it's that, that needs addressing immediately. And that's hardly the manager's fault. Sometimes the differences between winning and losing are small margins and if Olise and Zaha had taken their chances we may well have beaten the best club in the world. Critics on HOL should look at the game's prediction thread where almost everyone predicted a loss so why is everyone whining when their predictions came true.

I really like the way we play but as I just posted elsewhere - playing well doesn't guarantee results and they are what we need currently. Edited by The Dolphin (20 Feb 2022 7.51am)

Yep. Smacks of the rotational fouling Wilf has endured. Hopefully refs will start clamping down on it but don’t hold your breath. Having said that thought the ref was ok today

Seriously ? That in itself is part of the problem. One away win all all season in a total turn up against City. We didn't beat Brentford or Brighton at home either, How many games have Brighton lost at home? I believe 4 after yesterday, the point at Amex was very good. Look at the teams who have not beaten Brentford away. Admittedly I was peed off after Norwich, as 3 points definitely there for the taking

I can't find a link but I believe that PV was sacked by Nice after losing 5 straight games and that the feeling in the club was he didn't know his best team. We are no where near sacking him and he deserves time to get things right but he needs to address our habit of throwing it away in the last few minutes. Why is this? Is it tiredness of the players or are his substitutes causing the problems? A couple of back to back wins and all this will be forgotten. C'mon PV.

Crazy to start this kind of thread. PV has shown us a brighter Palace and we were a couple of minutes away from grabbing a point against Chelsea, and let's face it, not many on here were forecasting a win and most thought we'd lose. OK, we do lack bite up front, but the fault is the players not the manager. I watched the match through a stream on my tablet and there were so many fine performances. Trouble is there were also some guilty of overplaying. Chelsea are second in the PL and we had them on the ropes for long periods. Of course we need to improve our finishing, but please don't start getting on the manager's back. We're not a club funded by Saudi money so our manager, like the players has to come within budget. I'm annoyed we couldn't hold on for a draw today, but I see a manager and a team under development. I'm certain we'll stay up and that next season we'll see a more polished performance and results to match. Keep the faith glaziermart. Lack bite up front because we didn't play a striker, that's on PV, keeps blowing smoke up wilfs arse to spite the team,
