Lanzo, have you been on the Dorada's already . . .

Eze has started 3 games, been a playing sub 4 times & an unused sub 7 times since that U23's game i posted about.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

As usual, you are wrong.

No Not wrong, 130 mins in an available 1170 mins, premier league games, you are not going to get match fit wit that

Id say Zaha is preventing Eze from playing more than anyone as he seems to be undroppable no matter how bad he is. Gallagher might have dropped off just a touch but he's still playing well enough to not be considered as someone who's stopping one of our own from playing. Imo we have been worse upfront since Zaha has returned, great goal against Norwich or not he's been shocking and should be shown that he needs to perform to keep his place.

There is no doubt that Gallagher has been fantastic. In fairness to the original post however, Eze is our asset (and a major one) whilst Gallagher isn't, and is unlikely ever to be, whilst the chances of Eze playing must increase if Gallagher doesn't. There is a question to be asked about what is best for Palace therefore.

If we have a particular target within reach that Gallagher helps us achieve (secure survival, qualify for Europe, reach a cup final etc) then playing him every week is in the long term interests of Crystal Palace football club. If we don't have a meaningful target in reach then playing him is in the long term interests of Chelsea football club (whose pocket I personally wouldn't piss in if their balls were on fire), and possibly contrary to the long term interests of our club, if it restricts the development of one of our own players. Such is the loan system.

However, the case for picking Gallagher remains highly convincing.

1. We aren't safe from relegation by a long way yet.
2. We have a good chance of getting to the cup quarter finals.
3. Its unlikely, but I suppose we might even sneak into the European places.
4. If we do right by Gallagher then he'll be more likely to want to come back next year on another loan.
5. Our positive treatment of Gallagher makes other clubs more likely to lend us players in the future, and that's often vital.
6. The player most likely to make way for Eze to play in his best position is Schlupp, not Gallagher. It isn't an either/or situation.
7. The team is learning to press aggressively. If Gallagher is missing then we press far less, and so the development of the whole team is affected.

We’ll get the chance too see what PV preferences are on Saturday because Gallagher won’t be playing.

The case for picking Gallagher is a simple one: he's better than what we have currently.

Eze wont be playing, Kouyate and McArthur will.

Eze is a Roy signing, not impressing Vieira enough to get in his side. He is a bit of a luxury player, that doesnt seem to fit Vieiras formation.

Not in a million years, Eze is pure class, like Gascoigne, Gallagher is a Lampard clone

I'd take a Lampard clone over a Gazza any day - far more effective in the day-to-day rough and tumble of the PL.

So lets get Roy back and you can have all your, Kouyates, McArthurs, Hughes, Lukas, Jairos and Gallagher, all effort players, Eze is in a class of his own, we can have Benteke up front as well and watch the S**T we saw last year

And Guehi said that PV said to the players we lacked creativity, FFS, the most creative player is sitting on his arse
