Brentford are similar to us in that their performances haven't always been rewarded with points.

Both teams could do with a win, but it looks like another draw.

But as one of the worst tipsters around, I'm going for a Brentford win.

Ypu're in good company as so has Lawro! I tend to feel relieved when Lawro says we're going to lose (he tipped Norwich to beat us as well).

My prediction? Although we have only won one away game this season, we've drawn as many as we've lost. I don't think we'll lose this one.

We could have won against the tractor drivers if our finishing was better. I gotta think that PV has got them doing a lot more shooting practise especially from outside the box ... see the goal have a shot is my motto.

Going for a 2 - 0 win to the Eagles

I'm just hoping we start the game with more gusto than of late and if we do, and score in the first half we'll go on to win.

1-2 Palace will do nicely thanks.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Thomas Frank seems to have that same smugness that Klopp has. I find him really annoying even though I respect what Brentford have achieved.

I expect tomorrow to be a tough game, but at some point our attacking promise surely has to deliver? I think we'll surprise a few people with a 1-4 win, albeit with it being one of those games where we take nearly all of our chances (medication please nurse).

Unfortunately their strengths lie in the areas that we are weak.
They have 3 centre backs who are strong in the air as well as Toney. Their set piece delivery is very good and they are also adept at long throws into the penalty area and are very aggressive at attacking the second ball.
They sit deep and are compact and don't leave much space which we struggle with as we don't have a clever passer and it means that Gallagher has no spaces to run into.
They also have pace on the counter attack with Mbueno which could trouble Ward/Anderson.
They are not world beaters, but do have certain strengths that we struggle with.
I'd take a point
If they win I think they go above us.

I Think this is as accurate as it is depressing!

If we can nick the first goal (unlikely based on our previous 1st half performances) we could see an exciting game though, with spaces opening up at either end.

Think we'll concede 1, and hopefully score 2.

BBC News was bigging up Eriksson yesterday "about to make his debut for Brentford", they said, although the Palace match wasn't specified.

What chance that he:

1. plays a part against us?
2. plays better than any of our team?
3. scores?
4. is the darling of the media on Sunday?

I'll get me coat. The Brentford manager this afternoon confirmed that Eriksson is not available for Saturday.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

'Eriksen'.. before this madness continues any longer. I'll get my coat... and run!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Fair play. I should have known it was 'sen', being as he's Danish. The rest is just lack of research! Sloppy.

Another draw. All day long. I just think we’re the perfect draw specialists - we are capable of giving goals away for fun, and look fragile when the opposition really has a go. Equally we look like we can score when we need to. Both more likely to happen when one team is ahead.
