I don't expect him to start tonight, Eze, Schlupp or Edouard, starting him sends out the wrong message to the other players.

You mean the message: "If you get called away to represent your country one day, you won't be dropped by your club."

Some people have mentioned Wilf's moaning at referees, yet in other threads posters have complained that our players DON'T give referees a hard time (à la Man Utd for example). Maybe if our players had hounded the referee a bit against Liverpool, we might have avoided some of the injustice that transpired.

The problem YT, is that Wilf moans and sulks too much about tackles on him that he thinks were fouls.

I don't agree at all with players hounding the referee, but when folk on here raise it as an issue I think there may be a case for more vocal questioning of big decisions around, say, handball, offsides or other blatant cheating.

With Wilf, it's all me, me, me. And the refs are wise to his antics now.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The real problem is the opposition, who are massively wise to his antics but it's the officials fault not Zaha, they've let all the entertaining flair players down to the detriment of this game.

For me Wilf is still our talisman.

If we do sell him we have to give Man United 25% of the fee so, despite his wages, hope we keep him in the summer.

He is still a brilliant player and considering the brutal treatment he often gets its a wonder he isn't injured more often.

Because of this his petulance gets him into trouble, but I am hoping he will calm down, despite the extreme provocation and, with increasing competition from the likes of Olise and Eze, I am sure that will spur him on to greater things. I am sure he won't take kindly to being on the bench.

No such thing in the modern day.

Wilf gives out the same he takes so he is not some victim.

He has not been Talisman for years people keep thinking of the young fresh Wilf from Championship and first few seasons in Prem he is nothing like that player.

Hes at that stage he wont fix his attitude issues you can see it in his game this is the stage he should be at his peak he looks like a guy who is close to retirement his lack of work rate is a disgrace.

I doubt Poundland. Probably more John Lewis that Carrie Johnson looks down her nose at.

I saw Tony Adams in John Lewis, Oxford St once.

My wife saw David Seaman in Laura Ashley, Oxford St once; when she served him and his missus! And Stefan Edberg and his missus, although not at the same time as 'Dave'.

Current form no one will by him he has lost his speed & desire to take on players - looking for the foul too often

Got us the draw, lost us the win with worst penalty ever. How the hell do you sort out whether he is still the man!
