I see that Zouma has said “The cats are loved and cherished by our entire family". From what I've seen, I would say he has lost that loving feline. By the looks of his behaviour they are loved and cherished on a plate.

West Ham fans last night phoning in on the radio to defend his selection typical quote "why should the club suffer"? Well that can be said of anybody who does something wrong outside of work hours, I expect the BBC could claim that they should not be punished for Jimmy Saville.
Scummy West Ham no class.

Surely the RSPCA and police should be involved . If people are worried about cruelty to animals the last thing they should be concerned about is a cat, estimates are that cats in the UK catch up to 100 million creatures over spring and summer, of which 27 million are birds ..did Kurt Zouma's cat die?

Are you suggesting that Zouma's moral compass is akin to a cat's?

So if you're getting stuck into Zouma and still condoning the cruelty to those animals...I question the integrity. In saying that, I agree he needs punishment. Horrible. For any human to deliberately cause harm to any creature for pleasure is quite obviously wrong and needs investigating because these actions involve empathy and the lack of it, creatures facing slaughter for food is something altogether different, humanising animals before and during slaughter enables us to be in their position, I wonder what a crocodile thinks.

I have no doubt this will be repeated at other grounds for some time to come.....

If it is he can't help it, cats are natural predators and it is in their DNA to hunt and kill for food, cats do not kill for fun ..when they bring live prey into your home they do so because it's in their DNA to teach their offspring how to kill for food, they are not bringing creatures into the house to play with. So it is quite possible that Zouma was teaching his younger brother how to kick a football.

In my opinion, the correct thing to do was to drop Zouma from last nights game. That would have sent the message out that his behavior is unacceptable and won't be tolerated. By doing so, the issue could start to be put to bed. Instead his selection has added fuel to the fire and ensured that the matter won't go away. Much as what he has done sickens me, I don't think sacking him is a realistic outcome. Professional sport, football in particular, plays fast and loose with any moral codes. But removal of any pets, a banning order preventing him from owning pets for a period of time and a substantial donation to the RSPCA works for me.

I eat 'plant-based' meat . . . Steak Steak is from a cow, cows eat grass, grass is a plant, therefore my steak is plant based.

so he's made a token apology and is apparently 'deeply sorry'. He's only sorry that he got caught. His treatment of the cat in the video was not reactionary or a lash out, he clearly has no regard for cats. Booting them in front of his kids will make them think it's ok. They should take them away from him and ban him from owning pets. That's about all they can do I'd have thought, and now everyone knows he's a muppet with a wally for a brother.

Don't often disagree with you Neil, but I do on this point. Perfect opportunity missed for Karen Brady, with that look of hers that gives the impression that she's sucking on a particularly unpleasantly smelling wasp, to lean across the boardroom desk, point her finger and in her best Alan Sugar voice say "You're Fired".
