What if they called him a no good n****r. Inexcusable? Well really it makes little difference. I mean I'd certainly understand his anger and if he wanted to act on that or report it then that's for him, but it's still a physical escalation that shouldn't in any way escape accountability.

You entirely miss my point which is that Lammy has not condemned the attack as MP for the area. Whether he does so as a general condemnation of crime or as an anti semitic incident he should comment. Lammy had already condemned the attack as 'appalling' days ago and said 'the perpetrator of this despicable antisemitic attack deserves the full force of the law'. So he's already said precisely what you're criticising him for not saying.

At least being that it's so cut and dry, the guy was quickly found and will have to answer to his behaviour.

Unfortunately no sound, the assailant walks past and both men turn to look after him, why? I can only assume that he said something derogatory to them which caused them to turn around and look? Anyway they did nothing wrong so let's put that to bed that they provoked it. Hopefully the police can tear themselves away from monitoring hurt feelings on social media and get this b******.

I had not seen the Lammy comments and retract my saying he had not condemned the attack
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Lammy is a big endorser of the 'global village' concept. So while he quite correctly condemns this attack his politics are essentially what causes it and indeed its expansion. But in saying that Lammy is no different to any mainstream politician. He perhaps race baits a bit more than most of them but essentially he's a part of the political neo liberal consensus. The middle and higher classes don't....at the moment....have to live within areas where they feel any negatives from their 'global village' politics. And for the higher classes they will always be able to move (segregation by house price) and hence keep their hypocritical ideas clear of any realities....for example realities like higher crime, lower trust. They will tell you how to live while not having to deal with any of the problems. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Jan 2022 11.23am)

Hard to know what may have been said really, but if it's confirmed that it was anti semitic insults prior to the assault, then he'll have done himself no favours when it comes to sentencing. Tut tut.
