I hope Fun Time Frankie takes the Everton job and fails. I don't like him or them so I was glad he turned us down or we turned him down. Another media darling like Eddie How.

It would be great if they got dragged into the relegation battle.

Sadly I feel Brentford, Burnley and Norwich are doomed.
Would like it to be Newcastle, Everton and Leeds.

Everton's next 3 games are NUFC, Southampton & Leeds - before going to Citeh - wonder how many points they will get.

Any particular reason, Badger?

You think Roy is going to pull Watford clear then. Currently 9 points behind Brentford, albeit with 3 games in hand.

I could tell you a story but I'd probably get sued for libel so unless you have a spare £250k for lawyers.

Other than that I don't think he's that good.

As for Everton they should have been relegated back in the nineties when something funny happened in their last game against Wimbledon which by a miracle they won and stayed up.

Re. Lampard - unfortunately I'm down to my last quarter of a million, so I must politely decline.

Re. Everton. No justification was sought nor required, for they are inherently unlikeable. But yes; their final match of 1993/94 v Wimbledon was "dodgy" to say the least!!

Soft spot for Everton. They are the anti-Liverpool (which is surely enough?) and I have good long-suffering friends who support them. They have the nicest ground in the division. And my wife's late nan used to live 2 streets up.

Not their fault they are a chaotic shambles whose owners pump £billions into failing to get them 3 places up the table.

Oh and Lampard thought he was too good for us. No further reason needed.

Burnley - As much as I want to say "They've got 4 games in hand (over some)" you actually have to do something in those games and somewhat cruelly for them it will mean a more congested fixture list which no struggling team needs. One win in 18 is grim.

Watford - Can't stand Watford as a club and whilst part of me would love to see Roy succeed, the fact is for all the talk of us being well organised and hard to beat, we shipped a load of goals and seeing as that's one of Watford's big issues, I just don't think/hope it will be enough.

Norwich - Just not enough goals in the side and with Newcastle making some shrewd signings and crucially if they can get SJP fans back onside that is a hard place to go and get points.

Would love to see Everton go down. Never had a problem with them before but the way the clubs been run, combined with the really unpleasant and toxic attitudes of most the fans I see and hear, I think a dose of reality might do them good. They are historically a big club, and have a lot going for them, but the sense of bizarre entitlement seems well out of line with reality.

Burnley, Watford and Norwich still for me but with Newcastle and others trying to buy their way out of trouble we need to ensure some good results shortly otherwise, unlikely as it may seem, we could soon be under consideration!

Agreed, money, more than ever, will decide the table this year and I'm afraid we have given away too many points whilst playing our best not to be in the mix at the end of the season.
