Sounding like Roy Hodgson could be the man. If everyone is fit I think there is a decent first 11 among our squad, although our defence has been awful all season. What would you guys make of this appointment?

What would you guys make of this appointment? Most of the team that lost to Norwich do not look like Roy type players in my view. He favours conceding possession, a low block and counter-attacking football. He also expects his forwards to be highly disciplined and to pretty much defend most of the game. Sarr could do well when he returns in a Roy system which is a big positive for you. He does also speak several languages which will come in handy!

a mate just texted me that Roy worked for the Watford owner family sometime in the past at Udinese - If that's true maybe that helps make sense of how it happened so quickly. Also he says apparently Roy speaks Italian.

Mr Hodgson wrote in his pre-match programme notes a few seasons ago : "I worked with Watford's owner Gino Pozzo at Udinese many years ago and have always admired the talent he and his family have shown for unearthing new talent from all over the globe."

Roy will be pleased they didn’t lose yesterday, but another 17 draws and they will only have 32 points which won’t be enough so they are going to have to win a few. The games against us will be massive and I’ll be honest and say I’m not looking forward to them.
