Thank you so much, your kind sentiments are very much appreciated. I suspect HOL has been enriched by my absence and it is my belief that the majority would rather I stay well clear of it and continue with my self-imposed retirement allowing those with erudition to add value to such a cherished site. That 'majority' is about 4 posters which makes it a minority so stuff em. Have a great Xmas and New year pal. Best wishes to you and yours.

Welcome back. Sadly, I only know you through HOL, and unless you had Willo tattooed on your forehead would not recognise you. However, I have recognised and appreciated your words. Hope you and yours enjoy Christmas and that 2022 is kind to all of you. It is usual to enter a new year supported by a resolution or two. I do not expect you to resolve to get a tattoo, but to resolve to give us updates from time to time - Easter and the end of Summer Holidays will do nicely. Please take car and stay safe. John

John Good morning John. I can categorically assert that I shall not be making a foray to a tattoo parlour to have an image inscribed on my forehead, or indeed any other part of my anatomy (!), but perhaps I should make a resolution to continue not infesting HOL as once I did and allow those with erudition to add value to this much loved site. On occasions I felt as welcome on HOL as a flatulent dog in a lift and concluded that after several years I had outstayed my welcome and that it was high time I concentrated my energies elsewhere. Take care, stay safe and my kind regards to you and your family. Edited by Willo (21 Dec 2021 8.41am)

Meri Kirihimete from the other side of the world to you and Mrs Willo. As Hol provides a link to the land of my younger years, I have very much appreciated being kept in touch by your islands of facts in an endless sea of informed, uninformed, and misinformed opinions. I suspect many exiled eagles would feel the same. Take care.

I commend you on your journalistic articulation, but I suspect that many have concluded that my "Islands of facts" are data but not information and on occasions somewhat discursive. They were however delivered with the best of intentions. Enjoy the summer!

I have to admit that my grasp of the German language is somewhat non-existent but I am assuming that the sentiments equate to a Happy Christmas and New Year. Thank you so much and I reciprocate your kind wishes.

I am delighted that you found my contributions valuable.I suspect many viewed them differently deeming they were gushing fountains of gibberish and meaningless verbiage !

To the great HOL family After several months of not infesting the cherished HOL, I thought I would make a fleeting appearance and in this season of goodwill extend my sincere seasons greetings to yourselves and your families. I had concluded that I had become a yawneroo, a dullard and a varmint, well past my ‘Best by’ date, accordingly made the decision to retire into the long grass without any pomp and ceremony. I trust that HOL has been far enriched by my absence! I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year and in these troubled times do hope you all stay safe and well. May 2022 bring you good health and prosperity. My kind regards and best wishes to everyone. WILLO It would’ve been a better departure with a good old fashioned HOL flounce, there’s been some great ones in the past from the attention seeking whores on here Happy Christmas though Willo
