what i realise now, we could arsene wenger in his pomp as a manager and our fans would moan after a few losses. rather ironically you hounded out a very good manager in pardew after he heeded to fan pressure, changed the style, of play, scored goals and we couldnt defend for s***. then you turned against roy, because we could defend, but couldnt score enough. now theres moronic threads against PV because we score goals but cant defend. we will not be the team fans want until we drop £100m on the playing squad, and we cant do that due to FFP, so why dont we just enjoy the ride & stop moaning!

As a club we are still in a transitional period. New manager, new players, new style of play. Generally performances have been good albeit results haven't matched up, largely due to individual errors. We are still some way from having a squad in which we can have players seamlessly slot into the team when PV has to shuffle the pack. My expectation is that this season we will finish around about where we have been in recent years. And that, in my opinion, would be a successful platform to build on. I agree. If we can finish mid/ lower mid table that will be an excellent season for us and we will be in a good place to build on that next season.
