Yes, let's just enjoy the season. I can only worry about so many things simultaneously!

Me too - on that note that asteroid looks like it's getting much closer....

Think Vieira will be with us for a few years. Then I expect Shaun Derry will 5hen step in having done his apprenticeship under Vieira.

Have we? The only one I can think of was when Bruce was poached when we hadade a great start to the season.

We have usually appointed firefighters to save us who have moved on when the generous terms and budgets offered to keep us in the top division were not extended. We usually sack managers.

Add Dowie, Freedman and Venables (in terms of how I experienced it at least)

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

With all the talk about replacing Gallagher, my major concern is if PV continues his outstanding transformation the big boys will come along and start waving their wallets at him 2 and a half years left on his contract, Derry seems to be getting involved more during matches, maybe he can be learn from PV for the future if the unthinkable happens

Let us hope that he knows that he must learn more here before joining a "big club" he is not the finished article just yet!

Once we’ve played a season in Europe, which we could qualify for this season with PV, then I think he’ll be content to move on.

This is typical of the world we live in. How can people actually contribute to ‘Replacement for Vieira’ after 10 games. (10 games)

I remember the days when the big talk - the hype talk from the media was …..

Alan Pardew was tipped to be the next England Manager .

Remember those days - when we were playing exciting football.

Where is he now????

Just enjoy where we are, what we are doing and how you are feeling !

Not sure I agree. Dowie possibly but we had just been relegated and I reckon he knew that Jordan was struggling financially.

The Doug we had some good players but were not really playing as, well as we had and Venables (first time around,) I admit I hadn't considered that far back, when football was, a very different game. But fair play to you and your views. Maybe we get a bit lost having had a fair old turnover of managers!

Patrick Viera played football when the pay was pretty good so he is not short of a bob or two.
He doesn't need to move for money and so in my opinion he will only move to the right job when it suits him and after he has more experience under his belt.
He is also a serial winner and I very much doubt that he will jump ship only to take a huge job too early and look stupid.
Football is transitory anyway and he is flavour of the month right now and rightly so.
So was Dean Smith at the beginning of the season and look where he is 11 games on - it works both ways.
Personally I hope that he stays and that we back him through thick and thin to enable both him and CPFC to try and fulfil their dreams.

I have been mightily impressed by his persona. For someone who achieved so much as a player he seems a humble man and not the type to leave a club in the lurch.

As others have said I think PV staying is down to our board. If he gets the support he needs (within reason) and we finally start moving on the stadium I can't see why he would want to move until Citeh or the Arse come in for him.

I don't think he would turn either job down so it's a matter of when not if, unless of course it all goes off the rails. However I can't see him going for another job bar those 2.

Can anyone here help me struggle financially like Simon Jordan?

What an unusual thread, big Patrick hasn’t got through his probationary period yet!
