I don’t blame him, it’s gone seriously down hill since they sacked his mates. Much as I love Clinton on there, it’s just not the same anymore What you mean Andy Grey and Richard?

I would imagine that the letting go of the rest of the studio on camera team left him in a difficult position, if he quit people (employers) would think that he was being petulant & threw his toys out of the pram which could lead to them see him as being a risk for future employment (dont suppose he needs the money but you dont want to burn your bridges unless you have to) when the season started he had to kind of reinvent himself to fit in with a new team which after his time under the old arrangement cant have been easy, so probably better for all that he slides out the door gracefully leaving those that make those decisions to do with whatever remains of the show. Sky Sports has become unwatchable. It's obsession with race and its attempts to sell us female sport is nauseating. I'm guessing that women's football and cricket is a much cheaper offering than the men's game which is why they are showing more and more of it

They could try asking the few hundred people in the stadia that they cram into the areas in the camera view line for televised games........ the rest is empty! Edited by becky (06 Nov 2021 2.19pm)

Jeff seemed to half giggle at Omobamidele playing for Ireland. cue : a swift and angry Twitter reaction. and just after the Ads-break Jeff was jumping up and down basically saying 'dont call me a racist, Clinton beside me is an irishman and i was never being racist' it was actually quite funny. Jeff was brilliant and the banter he had with Charlie Nicholas , Phil Thompson, Matthew Le Tissuier and Paul Merson etc was what made it. Never seemed the same or as entertaining once the new faces appeared.

Would love to see him on Top Gear with Freddie and Paddy - replacing that irritating little bloke that takes himself far too seriously. But he’s irreplaceable on Soccer Saturday, really, although we can pretty much see the pc blueprint of the person who’ll get the job. Just need to understand which female presenter it’ll be. My moneys on Alex Scott as she fits the bill across a range of requirements and it’ll give them a chance to start a similar format for the Women’s game as they continue to push that. You WILL learn to watch and enjoy the women’s game. It’s like we’re being slowly brainwashed.

That said certain games have drawn in a million plus, so it certainly has an audience beyond those taking part and their families lol. Edited by BlueJay (07 Nov 2021 8.37am)

If Jeff has to be replaced by a woman, for equality's sake, then can I expect to see him as a regular pannelist on Loose Women? For equality's sake.
