Of course but that also means that others have the right to reject views in situations where they have the jurisdiction. Torba believes he has a God given right to reach everyone. Which presents a problem in today’s borderless internet world, Not really what you are saying is that he has an opinion and that the German government disagrees, my money is on the Germans.

We might both consider it just his opinion but if you read Torba you will realise his view is that God’s authority is above anything imposed by man. In this he has more in common with the extreme versions of Islam than most of us. Fundamentalists are a problem whatsoever faith they subscribe to.

'if you read Torba you will realise his view is that God’s authority is above anything imposed by man. In this he has more in common with the extreme versions of Islam than most of us.' ? Is knowledge of the Abrahamic religions this poor? Anyone with even the most simple understanding of Islam knows that 'god's authority is above anything imposed by man'....Hell, that's all the Abrahamic religions....for feck's sake that's the whole point of religion. Jesus wept. Indeed, it's entirely mainstream Islam. The only discussion point is what that authority is in practice. I get being against religion but arguments that don't understand it get nowhere. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Sep 2021 1.33pm) There is a world of difference between the ancient texts of a religion, written when mankind knew no better, and someone today genuinely believing them to the point of ignoring the will of the majority. I have no problem with those who believe just so long as they keep that belief in a historical context and don’t try to pretend that scientific discovery hasn’t happened.

Sounds like extremist atheism to cherry pick those you want to be prosecuted for their beliefs. No one is required to go to Gab, just as no one is required to enter a Mosque. If you don't like someone's views then don't bother yourself with them. If religion genuinely bothers you that much then go picket your local Mosque. Because your statement that they....or any of the main religions don't put God's words above man's is pure fantasy.....in fact the Jews and Christians allow for far more interpretation than Muslims as Islam teaches that the Quran is the actual word of god, while the main bulk of Christians believe the Bible to be 'inspired' by god written by prophets. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Sep 2021 4.36pm) As usual, you are either misunderstanding or, more likely, misrepresenting what I have said. I don't want anyone prosecuted for their beliefs. Prosecutions should only follow actions. Any individual putting "God's words above man's" for himself, isn't a problem. If that is how they wish to run their life, that's their decision and their right. It only becomes one if they decide to ignore any laws that conflict with their personal viewpoint and act unlawfully. Whether people can choose whether to visit Gab, or indeed a mosque populated by extremists, is beside the point. They exist and are populated. What happens there cannot be ignored because it impacts all of us.
