Thanks for that Orange. I see what you're saying, it just amazes me, after spending 73 years eating mostly non organic, apparently crappy food, that I'm still around to have this conversation with you. Well, maybe you would feel a lot better in life if you hadn't eaten 'crappy' food but you'll never know as that seems like what you've eaten regularly and never given not eating it a chance for an extended period of time. Like having a headache from birth, you'll never know what it feels like not to have one until it's stopped. On a similar note, i stopped eating all, dairy and wheat products and it transformed the way I felt with regards energy, clarity of thinking and better body weight ratio and fitness levels, same with others that tried omitting the same foods. Needs to be done for at least 3 months to see the benefits but of course many think it's nonsense and surely enough they come to that conclusion without ever trying it. They've eaten these foods all of their lives and think what they are feeling is normal when in fact it probably isn't. Edited by Orange1290 (27 Aug 2021 7.15pm)

It always amazes me when they interview a person on the telly and ask 'what's your secret to looking so good at 100 years old' to which most of the elderly reply something like 'we had bread and dripping for years after the war, smoked 40 Woodbines a day, and drank methylated spirits by the bucket load - didn't do me any harm'

I would wager that probably most of them had never worried about what they were eating, especially for the first 40/50 years of their lives at least. They must have all been relatively healthy to have lasted this long.

What was it for most of their lives? One thing is for sure though, they lived their earlier lives in an environment that at least probably contained more physical activity than more recent generations.

But you haven't been eating that rubbish all your life as most of the shyte hadn't been invented in the early years and speaking as someone of similar years I think that it was the good start to life that gave us healthier bodies than today's young
