It's inevitable that exactly how this kind of thing happens is shrouded in mist, so all anyone can do is make a reasonable guess, based on circumstances.

All I was trying to point out is that the Police are not an independent organisation who determine their own rules. They are controlled politically, both centrally and locally. So not just the government.

They then will reflect, along with other public institutions, the changing face of today's world and will adapt to it. Some will approve. Others clearly won't. As those in the second group don't seem to approve of any change which is regarded as progressive, the various comments are all very predictable.

The Police though don't serve just one segment of society. They serve all. Including LGBT.

At what level any decision is taken is likely to always be unknown, and that includes whether officers will "take the knee". Someone has to calculate the benefits versus the drawbacks and decide.

Being human, they may not get it right every time.

Why do you bother replying to the 'chip' eating, 'beer swilling', anti-non white contingent who regularly post on here? They're not going to change their outdated and out debated views anytime soon. As time goes by they will be continually outnumbered by greater and greater amounts and will eventually disappear from mainstream society. Nature is a wonderful thing.

With DanH on this one.

Homesexual activity was a criminal offence within living memory. It wasn't completely decriminalised in the UK until 2013.

We banned homesexuals for getting married, banned from certain jobs, and openly homophobic language was not only tolerated, it was considered harmless banter.

A nail bomb was set off in a London pub in 1999, 3 gay men where murdered in a Reading Park last year, I saw a story on Monday about how a gay man was randomly attacked in Birminghams gay village on Saturday.

LGB have had it far worse than any other group.

Police need to find a way of reaching out to a group that it was recently legal for them to pursecute. They need to break the Gene Hunt police stereotype and show support.

I'm sorry, but there are far worse things happening than some random attacks on a few homosexuals.

Folk are now too keen to toady to minority groups. About time the majority was considered.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

The most persecuted and indeed prosecuted sector of society are criminals. The police sometimes go out of their way to penalise them. There have been reports of armed robbers and drug dealers being imprisoned for simply trying to earn a living. This situation has been going on for many years without censure and it’s about time they showed a bit more support and understanding.

The new wave? Can anyone translate the rap 'music' attempt at lyrics?

So if police cars are going to show support for certain groups then how about these models:

BLM - Seats come with kneeling in 5 different positions

Extinction Rebellion - Makes a lot of noise is difficult to handle but ultimately does nothing.

Social Media - Doesn't handle too well in winter weather (snowflakes).

Tony Blair - Has a great siren "Liaar Liaar"

Kier Starmer - Equipped with the latest technology 20 20 hindsight.

Boris Johnson - Big but slow a bit shaggy but comes with its own flip flops.

Dominic Cummings - excellent vision

SNP - The police ordered 4 but only got 3 as one wanted to go its own way.

Etc.

No he isn’t and whether you agree with many of his opinions or not no one could say he’s not consistent and certainly isn’t agenda driven. I doubt he’d be remotely interested in your sense of moral superiority.
Beer and chips? How frightfully working class; the sort of common oiks who only hold those imputed views because they’re incapable of understanding what’s good for them.

Personally, I think it's the sort of thing the Right should be welcoming. No doubt it will prove the tipping point for just a few more people to shake their heads in disgust at what is happening and start to come over to our side.

We already have cops paid to mince about in uniform at 'Pride' events and so on. This is just a more visible form of that.

There's a general reluctance to pushback against these ideologies, as people are in part scared in case of saying something that would lose them their job or feel that if they point out these problems that they are saying that all gays are bad people or something like that. But none of that is true, and we need to see what the actual practical affects of not pushing back actually does.

These opinions here are why millions are flowing into these groups. These are politically active ideology pushing groups. Many homosexuals aren't political or don't feel best represented by this. Douglas Murray is a well known example of a socially conservatives homosexual who would fit the latter and indeed has much the same concerns I do.

What was this terrible discrimination in 2013? Homosexuality was decriminalised in the 70s.

No one sensible in the general public supports violence against homosexuals' let alone nail bomb attacks. That's the promoting of black swan events to justify the forcing of alphabet ideologies onto the majority.

These political ideologies lead to men in skirts being accepted into ladies toilets and changing areas.

These political ideologies lead to gender reassignment being suggested for children who might be tom boys, or effeminate/gay, going through a phrase or have activist parents.....a complete disaster for a significant number of them.

These political ideologies are why primary school children are being encouraged to think about same sex relationships and encouraged to think of them as a healthy option.

There is a difference between acceptance and promotion. It's yet another example of social liberalism worsening social outcomes but ignoring or providing excuses for the metrics.

The reality is that any increase in same sex relationships drops birth rates, increases promiscuity in males, lessens social cohesion and leads to an increase in several violence metrics later in life.

I won't even refer to another sexual activity that damages/destroys the young that only ever finds any support from activists on the far left....among whom many support these political idealogies.

Oh and it leads to the Police cars being painted to support sexual political ideologies.....which is a nonsense for a service which should only be concerned with reducing crime.

It's misplaced empathy over common sense.

You are entitled to your views but please stop posting grammatical abominations.

An apostrophe (') is used to indicate the omission of a letter or letters from a word, the possessive case, or the plurals of lowercase letters. Examples of the apostrophe in use include:

Omission of letters from a word: I've seen that movie several times. She wasn't the only one who knew the answer.
Possessive case: Sara's dog bit the neighbor.
Plural for lowercase letters: Six people were told to mind their p's and q's.

I have put a link you would find helpful

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
