You know, this is off topic but I could not bothered to trawl through to find a post on him so this was closest in theme. Nathan Ferguson. I have seen a lot of posts about why we bought somebody who was obviously a pig in a poke given he had ruptured his ACL and was in recovery. Blame was cast at the club on acquiring a crock player who may never play for us. All fair points. However, according to what I just read on Newsnow, what actually happened was that we agreed £11m but the talks broke down because of his medical. He then ran down his contract and joined us for free (OK compo given his age). We took a chance given he was England U21 FB and had huge potential. Now I know more, I think it was worth the punt. Who knew he would endure successive complications and then rupture his Achilles? On this one we all lucked out and I feel for the lad.

I believe it was Roy who turned him into a midfielder after realising he didn’t have the physicality to play CB in the PL. The bigger issue with FDB was that he was trying to play Ward as wing back.

Not sure I've seen any post-Spurs praise of Olise. Merely a cameo, but he showed good touch and composure in the part he played in our third goal, given that he had just come on to the pitch.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Absolutely agree. He drove at Spurs with real intent for the 3rd and drew defenders. Ultimately that freed up Edouard. I really liked the look of Olise
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

A blog suggests Eze may return next month! Got to be nonsense... but if true...
