Not sure he'll be going anywhere but oddly Blackburn may have been an option a week back as a sweetener. Their attack last season was 50% Elliott on loan from Liverpool. He was firing the bullets for Armstrong. Edited by Omph (11 Aug 2021 1.45pm) Yes I agree when I wrote on that thread about loaning 2 players to Blackburn as part of a deal for Armstrong it was him and Street I had in mind. I think both can make it but needs mens football rather than u23 to develop

I think this is his breakthrough season. Featuring heavily in pre season and we're short on wide players. I personally know very little about him but from what I watched against Brentford B in the highlights he looks a handful. He's certainly not a PL starter yet, but I expect he'll be on the the bench at the start of the season with a few sub appearances. Will most likely start the League Cup games. Time to throw him in to see if he can swim.

I imagine there will be a few Championship clubs sniffing around, but if we don't sign another winger then he is our only current back-up to Ayew. Also, if it's a choice between loaning Nelson or another young winger, or trusting Rak-Sakyi to step up then I'm of a mind to go with the latter. If we have a permanent signing in the pipeline of sufficient quality then that's different. The good thing is that with our youth teams getting promoted even if he doesn't get regular first-team action he'll still be facing top opposition in the U23s. Olimabu may well make more of a claim this season too if we don't sign another striker. The lad seems to have huge confidence in his ability and that could serve him well in making the step up.

Forget his build, players are much more protected these days. He has pace as well as being tricky. I look forward to seeing him blossom.
