Thanks Gary. We have found someone else who can do something more than put his foot on the ball and roll it sideways for less than £60k a week. Hope Rangers come in for you, with a great deal, although the Scottish Premiership is pretty much over for the season. Celtic lost their opening game last night and will now never catch the points back. Out of the Chamions League before the end of July, and will likely be out of the Eurpopa League halfway through August. If they ever joined the Engkish league I would start them in the conference. I would expect Bromley to turn them over at the moment. How the mighty have fallen- first British European cup winners, all players born within 10 miles of the ground-imagine! I f yesterdays result can wake up the board to get some cash out, it might not have been a bad day, but it"s a big if!

We badly need a utility defender who can play anywhere across the back four. Clyne has not ,as yet, been re-signed,so it is Ward or Kelly, no obvious back up for Mitchell and if Kouyate is a midfielder we are down to three centre backs, Tomkins, Guehi and Andersen. Not enough! The three that have gone were injury prone. Hopefully the 2 that have come in will not be so it evens itself out. Plus Kelly didn’t feature last year at all. Not sure why as he has never really let us down in the past.

Disappointed that something could not have been sorted here, but I guess he realised game time would have been less with new players coming in. Good luck Gary for the future…

See he's being linked to WH now If that happens what are the odds on either he or Tomkins being fit when we meet?

Great in his first season but last season was disrupted by injuries that could have seriously cost us given all our other centre-backs were cripples. The older he gets the more likely he'll get injuries, so I think the club offering him a deal on reduced terms was the right thing to do. Cahill can probably wait until someone is desperate enough to offer him more money. Very professional and helped us stay up when the purse was welded shut. Good luck to him.

Part of me wondered whether he might not be shuffled into the coaching set up as a form of player coach. He certainly did enough on field organisation but perhaps he doesn't fancy that yet - or at all.
