Another unbelievably good purchase if this comes off. Quick, good tackler and ridiculously strong for a 21yo. Very low risk signing as his transfer value will rocket far higher than the reported total fee of £20million. Brighton value White at £50million after some good loans and 1 season in the Prem. Strongly believe Guehi is a better CB.

Fantastic news and 5 year contract, could see him and Rich-Baghuelou eventually becoming a superb pairing COYP

In a sense the most pleasing thing about this transfer is the speed it's happening at - assuming it happens of course. We're getting our business done early but also decisively - it really does feel as this is indeed a plan coming together. Noted that SP spoke of this window being planned for and there's a sharp contrast to most of the business we've done previously. Other point is I suspect we may be getting Guehi because we have a clear opening for him in the side whereas elsewhere he'd be a fringe player. RH giving Eze a full season makes us look an attractive proposition perhaps. Loads of these young England/English raised players are off to the continent as that's where they get game time. Tomori springs to mind here. It's not a bad model if we can make it work. Edited by Omph (15 Jul 2021 3.14pm)

As always with Palace, you never are quiet confident , so called done deals will actually be done. But this is great news, if true,. The lad is a very good player already, should only get better,. One or two more like this and Palace should be cooking on gas, with a really promising balance of young and old to take on the Premier. league with. Add Guehi, to Olise, and Eze, and already we have three that could easily become household names, if all goes well..

Versus any other club in the PL at the minute, we have to be the attractive option for the talented, young player because they have an open road into the first 11. New manager, new players - there's nothing blocking their path if they're as good as they and we think they are. If this comes off, we've made two of the best signings we've made for years in the space of a week.

I have seen quotes like this quite often but Liverpool didn't pull our pants down, we pulled our own pants down Plus Sakho is phenomenal and worth every bean we paid... if it were not for the curse of playing for Palace meaning he could barely walk let alone play for most of his time here. Would like to hear comforting words from the management about improvements to medical/rehab as that and the ground remain the real troubling features for me.

Agree about his ability, pity he became so injury prone. He did seem to lose interest as well. Little doubt it’s time to go. Let’s hope that the injury rate ,and the treatment of, for the squad as a whole improves going forward , it never ceases to amaze how many we pick up in our training regimes.

I would love this signing (my Swans friend really rates him). Checks every box I could have for a CB. I'm even ok with sell-on fees. If he pans out for us, this might actually help us keep him, since it alters the maths on profitability. We would have lost Zaha season ago if we hadn't had to pay 25% to ManU. It makes it harded for Agents to craft a deal --as with Chelsea having matching rights. Why would a team work hard to craft a deal for him if Chelsea could just match it and snipe the deal?
