I remember when Scotland tried to 'take' London in 96. If, by London, they meant the fountain in Trafalgar Sq, hemmed in by tens of thousands of England fans and a thin line of police for their own safety, they were successful.

When the Home Internationals were on in the 70s you would often see bedraggled Scottish supporters draped in flags shuffling around the West End for days after the match having spent all their money. Some are probably still there.

The ginger wigs and kilts seem like a good idea at the time. When you wake up in a pile of puke in a doorway the next morning, the gloss kind of wears off. I sincerely hope there's no 'shenanigans' but I can just see the media dying to find something. As at all tournaments with England.

Yes, like diving into a fountain then realising the next 24 hours will be a nightmare of damp chafing.

Better than 15 pairs of pants after 1 pint.

England and Scotland: who'll win? England must be favourites.

Yep, England certainly should win, not a walkover though. I'll go 2-0.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I don't know how Wales are second, yet playing second place in next round. This whole tournament makes little sense. More teams should be knocked out. It's almost impossible not to qualify.

It's how the World Cup used to be before they increased the number of teams.

Well done Scotland finishing bottom never mind they got a point against England so they will still be celebrating that for years to come.
