UNBELIEVABLE!! Whilst I feel sorry for the lad, I’m left feeling a sense of emptiness, anticipating next season to be miserable. When it rains it pours. This is absolutely unbelievable bad luck. That's our 2 investments in the future pretty much done for next season. I had mild optimism of the rebuild ahead after the Villa game... this has quickly turned to dread.

Nothing to do with long grass .It's an injury that's more associated with running ,like an elastic band it snaps if stretched to far.Very painful

I literally can’t believe this! It happens to often for it to be a coincidence. If you look at the long term injuries we have had it’s just baffling! When our players get injured they seem to stay injured too. Sakho, McCarthy, Benteke , Wickham, Ferguson, Eze, Tomkins etc etc, the only horrific in game one was Wickham. There is something seriously wrong with this.

Me too. The rebuild is going to be an enormous task. It's a bit like owning a house and not doing maintenance for years and then finding everything needs doing at once. We don't even have a nucleus of players around whom a new team could be built, particularly with Eze injured and Wilf possibly /probably going. Who's left of the squad that are young enough or good enough to be the future of the side? Buying and only using proven players whilst ignoring the ones that need nurturing has caught up with us. It’s to be expected when you operate like this. Can’t even say it’s been enjoyable recently. Just unwatchable.

Gutted for the lad. Hope for a speedy recovery and he can fix our problem at right back. Worst part of this news is that we are now likely to give either Ward or Clyne a new contract. Both seem to a long way past their best. Would prefer Clyney to stay but i would assume Ward is a lot cheaper

Another injury. Sustained in training again. Very bad news. History shows that so many bad injuries when young are difficult to ever really get over. It doesn’t look good. I hope he doesn’t have the same luck as wickham

We could take a right-back on loan, but it is starting to look ominously like Jack Hunt MkII, a right-back who arrived with much promise and then never played for us in three years.
