Top film. A menacing Patrick McGoohan and a young Sean Connery.

Duel. When Dennis Weaver (McCloud) is driving to a business meeting & is being pursued by a beaten up tanker trailer.

Spielberg's debut film (after directing Columbo). A pared down classic.

Also, some great stuff in The Driver (197. Much copied.

Some great movies mentioned here but if your talking about chase movies there is only one.

Vanishing Point.

Brilliant car, brilliant V8 soundtrack, one long car chase with real stunts, a good script and direction.

If you've seen it, you'll know what I mean...

Yeah, I remember this. Petrocelli staying awake on uppers and delivering cars. The star was a Dodge if memory serves.

It doesn't seem to do the rounds. Is there a DVD?

There must be a DVD. I thought I had a copy but alas, I don't. I did watch a stream of it last night though. It was better than I remembered.

I dont know why it doesn't get shown or get the props it deserves as it quite simply is the best car chase movie "in the world"...

I'll have to buy it..

Ps. It was a supercharged white Dodge Challenger. Don't really like many old cars but that car I would happily drive around in all day..
