as an Eagle, i would vote yes for Pearson at Selhurst.

and certainly not Lampard.

but i still want us to keep Croydon-Roy for another 12 months.

Met Pearson several times when he was Saints boss and staying at a hotel I worked at. The guy is a complete bellend. Arrogant beyond belief and treated the staff with contempt. There’s a reason he can’t hold down a job longer than 6 months.

Guy is a tool.

No thanks from me.

He'd keep us up if he was given the opportunity.

The result on Monday night will be a fair reflection of what's in store for us over the coming weeks.

Will our troops rally to the cause under General Roy? I'd like to think so but somehow I doubt they'll have the spirit or strategy to make any impact.

I attribute a lot of what Leicester acheived in their title winning campaign to Pearson

no problem with someone who speaks their mind, but it does appear to affect his relation ships with people.

saying that, he could be a good fit for us.

Bragging about taking on a pack of wild dogs whilst out hiking may well put him in that bracket.

My mate told me of a time when he was drinking in a hotel bar in Bristol when Pearson walked in (he was with his team, cant remember who now). My mate said to the person he was with (probably not his wife!!) there's Nigel Person.
Person overheard and sneered back "yes it is".

Oh year, and pinned down one of our current players by the throat.

Does strike me as a bellend, but think, as long as he could get on with Parish, he may well get us going in the right direction.

Agree, but wouldn't most managers. If we really need to step up a rung or two on the ladder we need to be aiming a bit higher than the usual McClaren, Hughes, Pearson Etc.
Obviously a new manager is going to want to spend some money on signings & I feel this may push into signing one of the types of managers I've just mentioned, for me that is trulv depressing, another season of muddling along lower mid table & knocked out of both cup competitions by January.
Personally & if it was achievable although highly unlikely as I think he'll be shoe horned in for the Liverpool job in a couple of years I'd go for Steven Gerrard he may have no Prem experience managerial wise but the guy is a winner.

Pearson may be lined up for Bristol City - and talk of a manager to take us into the top half? Just read an article quoting Hodgson who points out that massive investment is what will make us genuine top ten (not a manager), a manager might get lucky one season but we have hit our glass ceiling - I merely want a boss who will keep us away from the drop, play watchable footy and get us the odd cup run - I'd have two or three years of that till we get the new stand, then we can think about genuine progression.
