Great start, glad I'm not watching ffs Originally posted by Foxy82
I resigned myself to not watching this morning, due to yesterday's embarrassment. I wasn't even going the check the score until I saw this thread. Gutted I didn't see Root tear them apart now!

How the hell can a part time bowler take 5-8 on the second day. India might well prepare pitches to suit their bowers, but it really makes test cricket a sham. Edited by stuckinbristol (25 Feb 2021 9.14pm)

I bet Channel 4 were glad they paid for those games.

On a positive note we might have just seen the last of Bairstow in a test squad.

We have witnessed some disgraceful team performances in this series.

I don't really have an issue with England losing in India....India are a better test team overall. My issue is the same one I've had with English cricket for years. That, in general, the national side are overpaid and rewarded for how good they are in relation to the cricketing world. Also, I think test cricket has been debased in quality and priority since T20 cricket arrived. I count English Cricket supporters as a regular victim of financial fleecing.

The pitches may have been turners but we had spinners as well plus the advantage of winning the toss and bowling last but our bowlers weren't as good as theirs and neither were our batsman. And when you talk about giving them seaming pitches when they come over here don't you think that Bumrah would enjoy that as he's an exceptional seam bowler.
