not to mention....pretending to roll around the ground in agony. And get the medics to examine your big toe.

Do it ten times while your team is leading and not at all while you are chasing the game.

Very rough if he stood as far away from his razor as he usually does.

As it has been debated and stated many times on Hol before the only way to stop time wasting is to use the time the ball is in play by either:-
1. time on time off as in Rugby directed by the referee.
2. have 2 halves of 30 mins of actual ball in play controlled by another official.

What is the rule regarding how long a keeper can hold the ball now?
Back in the old days it used to be 6 seconds, this is now usually 10-15 seconds, if not longer because of the stupid "take a easy catch and fall on the ball for 10 seconds" thing they all seem to do.

It’s still supposed to be 6 seconds. Remember when goalkeepers used to bounce the ball for ages before rolling it out to a defender who then passed it back?

We should have time wasted at 1-0 down yesterday and maybe kept it to two.

jose ManUre-ho goes to zagreb with a 2 goal advantage, time-wastes as usual.......and gets his ass kicked.

Beautiful

beaten by a team with the money-resources of Creepy Crawley

------------------------------------

and a question : In the history of the Prem, how many players have ever been red-carded for time-wasting ?

I'm guessing it's none but I do remember Wayne getting carded for it.

Championship Playoffs.

yesterday Bournemouth tried to spend the whole game running down the clock.

the Brentford manager retaliated by pointing at his watch.

We really need a new football rule for this behaviour.

Take 60 seconds for a free kick and the fourth official will add double that onto the clock , Assuming you are still winning in the final few minutes of play.

we really need to get to a point where deliberate time-wasting will cost a team their victory. Crucify them with red cards or other time penalties.

Call it the 'jose mourinho rule'

Or even simpler, after ten seconds of time wasting, ref blows whistle and swaps possession to the other team. A free kick. And hence, the closer a team is to their own goal the more fearful they will be of punishments for time wasting.

I concur with the sentiment but if we add on twice the amount of time that is being wasted, we could in effect have a never ending game

Also, and by tradition, Palace are very bad at this skill indeed.
