Bloody right, forgot Moneyball too! Massively versatile and plays a completely different role every time. Yes he is. I reckon Tom would do him as well he’s that good looking.

OK. Got to say that Brad was great in Snatch and did a good job in Ad Astra but my favourite performance of his has to be 12 Monkeys. Their relative merits in comparison to other actors is a matter of opinion of course.

Of course, I'm certainly not saying he's anywhere near the likes of Daniel Day-Lewis in terms of acting ability but then I'd certainly rather watch any given Pitt film than one of DDL whose films are, in my opinion, tedious.

He clearly didn't help himself, but his other half definitely sounds as bad as he was. Some of her conversations that were part of the evidence were not far short of disturbing. But of course he gets boots off his new movie and she doesn't. Yawn.

This case with Heard rumbles on in Virginia, US. And it's looking more and more likely that Depp is the victim. As mentioned earlier, domestic violence against men is almost always laughed out of court. And even more often not reported for fear of ridicule. Aussie Man has a (slightly biased) amusing review of the case so far. [Link]

Heard represents a certain type of woman many of us are fully aware of. But hot hell, she was sure born genetically gifted. Edited by Stirlingsays (28 May 2022 1.19am)

The alleged victim is to be believed unless proven otherwise, rather than the accused is innocent until proved guilty. edit: and yes, I also would. Edited by Tim Gypsy Hill '64 (28 May 2022 1.50am)

If I was the judge I would throw the case out and tell them they are both as bad as each other, no victims here.

'Mcc***ney shows support for Depp' ? [Link] This comes as no surprise to me. One of the last pre-Covid gigs I went to, Tir Na Nog sang a song co-written with Linda McCartney. Entitled "Prisoner of Love" the lyrics of the song portray a woman entrapped in a relationship with a violent partner.
I disengage, I turn the page. |
