I played against Peter Storey the ex Arsenal midfilder when he was doing time at Springhill open prison near Aylesbury in the early 1980s.
He was just fat and slow.

I played for Corinthian Casuals from 1975 to 1994. I played in the same team as Andy Gray, who played for Casuals for a few years before moving on to Dulwich Hamlet with the Manager.
When I was playing in the vets, Alan Suddaby ( ex Blackpool ) played for us and my last game for the club was in a National Vets cup tie and Paul Mariner played for us; he'd just come back from playing in the MLS and brought a friend called Alf who was also an ex pro, didn't recognise him though.
I worked for HM Customs for a while and played for the Civil Service representative team against the Army, Navy and RAF. We had an ex QPR player ( name escapes me due to age I'm afraid ) and Billy McKinlay who played for Morton.

I recall a Peter Suddaby who played a vast number of games for Blackpool.
He must be in his 70s.

Small fry, I know but Micky Nutton used to play a minor part in Chelsea's squad in the eighties. He was in my 'kick-about' team called the Norwood Colts. He was in his early teens and absolutely miles ahead of anybody else. I think he left us when Chelsea came sniffing.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

My youth sunday team regularly played a few teams who had some dangerous individuals in Croydon leagues or in Surrey and London schools cups etc.

Bradley Wright Phillips banging goals in like a joke, dreaded playing him, except one game when the manager played me as a sweeper and we drew 0-0! Croydon wanted to try me there after that game but I was shocking in trials that year

Wayne Routlede at Addiscombe Corinthians was pretty damn good and dribbling amazing. Could tell he was different class and going to do make it.

Chris Smalling you could tell was destined to do something decent. One team mate try head butt him as he was so good one Saturday afternoon, Chris dodged the butt aswell!

Nigel Reo-Coker used to jump in our games up the park and was clearly a baller. Great passing and brain always on point to find you in space.

Jason Puncheon had an amazing left foot and so damn strong, just needed to focus more and he did so for a great career.

Andre McCollin was deadly at school like he starts we win simple! Career was all over the clubs semi pro level but one player I remember assisting almost every game and so much fun to play with.

And played v Tubes from soccer AM!

Played against Chris Wood once here in NZ.
I think that's why I always bag him....because deep down I'm jealous he made it and I didn't!

I heard that Chris Wood was a goalkeeper when he was 13 but never liked playing in this position and decided it wasn't for him.

I recall McCollin playing for Kingstonian,Whyteleafe and Burgess Hill Town.I believe he played for quite a few non-league clubs.

Many years ago, Russell Slade signed him for Yeovil and he was at the club at the same time as Steven Caulker,Alex McCarthy and Luke Ayling who were there on loan.

I hope you didn't buy any gold coins off off him!
I always thought he was like an extra from The Sweeney. I mean, he just looked like a criminal.

Oh really? He was very much a striker when I played against him...he must've been about that age. Maybe just after then.
