He definitely had more than 2 clearances the entire season, he played in almost every match and defended at every set piece.
They say he made 0.1 clearances per game which, over 38 games, would make 3.8 (give or take). That would tally with the 4 combined clearances on the PL website. They actually have his season heatmap on there as well and, as you can see, he barely entered our box so it's unsurprising really.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

Could be on the market for sale. 20m in the telegraph. I would actually like to see us go for someone like this. Would not be on silly money and could be good for us. Did well for Swansea, however would be a gamble.

Not as safe a bet as Batshuayi - but I would be delighted with Brewster. Could be a superstar in the making and the most instinctive goal scorer we’ve been linked with imo. Amazed if Liverpool do actually sell him,

Personally I’d prefer someone different from either Bats or Brewster. Bats is perhaps the player most likely to be ready to play at his peak so I’d prefer him and he also has proven he can score at this level. Brewster still has a lot to prove at this level. Be a huge gamble to pay 20m for him. Loan would be great. Either way I’d be more excited if we were after someone around 24 and already having played and scored in a top league.

I also think something is wrong here. I mean, they were asking 28-30 million for 23 year old Harry Wilson a few months ago and wouldn't even think about selling Ben Woodburn. Why Brewster? Still, at 20 million and rather similar age to Josh Maja, I think I'd rather go for the latter. But Brewster deserves a close inspection. If only this position weren't the most important one at Palace...then we could have patience with a 20 year old to develop. But the club desperately needs a proven center forwardm

I agree with most of what’s been said here. But for a young striker coming into Palace he has to be aware that he can’t fail to be better than what we already have (or rather don’t have) so even a modest return in his first season would see us lot full of appreciation and must fill his m with confidence. I think he’d be terrific for us but am myself suspiciously thinking “what’s the catch”? I agree that Maja would also be a good choice and (shrewd piece of business) he is the type of player we used to pick up for peanuts from the periphery of other clubs and turn into household names, (Armstrong, Morrison, AJ etc). I think he’d do very well for us and has proven track record at different levels and leagues.

The 20m fee could just be made up by someone, as it is not a figure directly quoted from a Liverpool source. They see him day in, day out against PL players, so there is also the possibility they don't think he is quite good enough; they do have a history of getting good fees for young players who do not match the bill (Solanke and Ibe come to mind). However, I think most likely is they don't want to sell him and he'll go out on loan, probably to Villa.
