Daily Mail along with a few other websites etc reporting that we have made a £50,000 per week offer. It's roughly double what he was on at Bournemouth (£27,000 pw).

Personally I would not have gone near him since downing tools at Bournemouth. More importantly (and concerning) is that it perhaps shows our transfer policy again this window. Ferguson - out of contract There are now 3 things certain in life :- Death

Ferguson - out of contract There are now 3 things certain in life :- Death Plenty of players did this. Players have to earn a living and the security of a contract is what they need to keep going. If had played and ruptured an ACL would Bournemouth have offered a 1 year deal and covered the medical fees (I doubt it). Clubs protect themselves and players do this aswell. I think some fans are glass half empty instead of half full. Ferguson - we were going to pay 10-12m for him in January and we have got him on a free, who could argue with that business. Ryan Fraser is one of Bournemouth’s top performers and we are in for him for FREE, who could argue with this. As for Eze, clubs never accept the first bid. Lots of bids fail and QPR want to drive the price up and play us off of West Ham and West Brom. We will go in again, but what is he worth. I’ve seen him play and he is talented but hardly a wilf or yannick imo.

Although I don't know too much about Ferguson, Fraser and Eze could potentially be fantastic players for us and if he can get all three for £16m that would be top business. I have no issue us picking up bargains when they're available, my problem is when we have gaping holes that need to be filled but because there's nobody available on the cheap we just don't bother.

His distribution is miles better for a start- the boy can pick a pass and I’ve not seen that often from Wilf. The most important difference though seems to be attitude. Wilf let’s people wind him up, and they know it affects his game

With Fraser being offered an increase in salary to £50,000 a week, that should be the type of player we should be after. We can’t afford the 100,000 a week player for which we already have a few. We need to let their contracts run down and offer less or sell them on. We are in a time where clubs will fold and if we aren’t careful we could end up as one of them, especially if we go down. I’m all for a club like some in the prem paying less even if it does mean we aren’t going to challenge nearer the top :-)

That article also mentions West Ham are showing an interest. Ffs is our scouting that good that they don’t need to do their own?

There have been lots of players who were out of contract, but didnt down tools. I remember Aaron Ramsey having a good season at Arsenal before going to Juventus. He could have easily stopped playing. Look at Pedro at weekend, he looked he was playing fully and ended up getting injured. He could have played not trying to get injured. Would Fraser playing fully given Bournemouth an extra point that would have ensured their survival ? I reckon he will hold out until the end of the window, and if no one else comes in, he will come to us.

Not sure we're in a position to be too picky over players because of their attitudes. Would argue that Wilf has pretty much downed tools this season after failing to get a move last summer. Ultimately the sad truth is that football clubs mean much more to fans than players, so if Fraser can come in and contribute 10-15 assists next season I'll be delighted even if he is a t***.
