Can see us going for him at that price.
Presumably if Wilf were to stay it would create a problem if O-S can only play out wide on the left.
Also,wWhere would it leave us re Fraser? Go for both?

Ship out Townsend. Odd worldy now and again, injured some of the time, ineffective most of the time.

He can only play on the RIGHT. (With success)

It would have been great if he had been able to score or give good passes from the left. It would have meant he was a technically gifted player, play on the opposite foot, able to dribble inside.

But he can't. There are many right foot players who can play on the RIGHT, like O-S. This is not much special in playing the way he does. I have a hard time finding thid type of one-sided players at high level anymore. I can think of Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid, Aaron Lennon, maybe Walcott, but he is able to play on the left too, maybe Callejon but he is much better and has played on the left too.

How low can you get, a premier side looking to buy at best an average championship player, get Eze, and offer them , Macarther and Ward in exchange and sell Zaha, Sako and Benteke and save 450 grand a week on the wage bill, and get rid of Freedman, total waste of space and money.....

It’s time to have a left footed winger on the left getting Behind the opposition, to the byline and whipping a cross in and a right footed player doing the same on the other side. This will give time to our forwards and the odd midfielder to get on the end of the cross . All our best teams over the years have done this.

This would seem to be an obvious solution given we have a lump like Tekkers in the middle. However it is not a fashionable way of playing it appears.

So get rid of 5 players and Dougie Freedman and bring in 1 player. Thank god your not running the club.

QPR are after a striker (but so are we)and WH have Hugill I wonder if they would consider Connor either on loan or as a make weight. Both Osayi-Samuel and Eze - Total value around £20 million. Connor is still about £9 million and he will score in Championship plus Pierrick on loan for season (he needs regular football)with a balance of approx £10 million paid by Palace

Conor's been there, doesn't rate the treatment room, no ice bath & the wallpapers dated! So will never agree personal terms. Deals dead in the water!

9 million what for Wickham?!?

And wouldn't getting Eze and Osayi Samuel just turn make half of the attacking 4 players Championship mediocrity level?

Sure, Eze can grow and an investmemt wouldn't be bad. O-S.... not so much as he's not that skilled a winger, but ok,say they're PL proper age squad material....

How did you come to the conclusion that spending 20 million on such a bid would solve Palace's atracking problems?

Sounding like a deal could be on the cards now. We need someone to challenge a decidedly average looking Andros, and at around 5m this seems a pretty low-risk option.
