My mistake, sorry. I thought it was commonly accepted in Morelos' case. Everyone I know calls him fat. In Scotland they all know it. Don't want to offend him, if he can play at a good level like this, then all the better for him. But it was pretty kbvious in bjg matches that he couldn't keep up. Steven Gerrard knows it, he substituted him in the last games before the pandemic. Had a good run in Europe, but only a few of his goals were against top competition, which he'd have every week in the PL. I would recommend that you read the article about him on The Athletic where literally everyone of his coaches and even Aki who signed him have said that he is not fat. Snippet attached. If this rumour (on the Beeb) is true, might Hudson-Odoi be on his way to us? "Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Germany and Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz, 21, because their English striker Callum Hudson-Odoi, 19, hasn't developed into the player they expected. (90min)"

Haven't seen us linked with Teemu Pukki which is surprising. Proved he can score a few for a struggling Premier League team and definitely won't want to return to the Championship. He's 30 though so possible a bit young for us, one for the future perhaps.

I agree he has not developed as a player and his off field antics have not covered him in glory. Maybe Lampard is reminding him that he needs to knuckle down. So unless Chelsea are in a generous mood I don't see him coming to us unless on loan.

When Pukki was signed by Norwich on a 'Free' from Brondby he was viewed by the club as the backup to Jordan Rhodes but it turned out very differently.

I think before we start speculating about a new striker we should first seek out a midfield provider. With such a player our existing anaemic 'strike force' might start knocking them in. The manager is not keen preferring, a defensive midfield 'shield'consequently we don't concede many (until recently), but we are one of the lowest scorers in the league. He won't use Max Meyer so goodness knows why we bought him. A modern equivalent (if such exists) of Barry Bannon, Michael Hughes or Ben Watson would help. So, can Matteo come up with a few suggestions?

I see Niasse is leaving on a free from Everton so you never know.
Palace do hold on to old lists of players and with him being free if they can agree terms i expect he will be the one SP goes for. Just look at our past signings they like going for names they didn't get years ago McCarthy and Tosun was some of them.
